So Much to Show You

Ok this is going to be another huge post, because I'm creating layouts much faster than I am posting here, so they are getting backed up something fierce. Today the layouts are going to be from various places, but most will be challenges I've done.

I'm going to start off with one that has been in my backlog forever, I did it as a speed scrap over at GingerScraps and never showed it to you. I think because the subject is giraffes and not someone I know. I got the photos when Sharla, Cole and I went up to Arbuckle Wilderness one year on Christmas break.

Yeah my oldest non published layout is off of my to show list. Next up is a layout I did with Modern June's portion of the August Build a Kit at Digital Scrapbook Mania. I love the colors in the kit. The photo is Zoey giving Sharla kisses.

Next up is one I did for Stuff to Scrap's Word of the Week Challenge. The work was lazy and I knew right away what photo I wanted to use, Sharla and Cooper "napping". This is Let's Get Together by Scrap N Pieces, and I love this kit.

I'm on a roll with my older layouts, so here is another one I did for a speed scrap at DSM. It features Tucker Joe watching while I get ready for work. He much prefers the days when I stay home, because he likes to have someone to lay down with him. This I used is called Dusty Rose by Modern June.

Now for a layout I did for a font challenge at Polka Dot Plum. The kit is Monkeying Around by Victoria Feemster and as soon as I saw it, I knew I would use a photo of Sharla. Daddy called her Monkey, all of her life, even when she was grown, so of course I had to use her.

I did the next layout for the Use it or Lose it challenge at Stuff to Scrap. They give you a mini kit and you have to use all of it on your layout. Sometimes this is easy and sometimes it is not. I like this one because there were not too many papers and elements.

Modern June's contribution to the September Build a Kit at DSM was beautiful and I really enjoyed using it for this layout. The photo is Callie opening her birthday present several years ago, it was just what she wanted...you can tell by the look on her face.

This layout I'm sure looks a little odd, but the challenge was to photograph a body part (no face or head shots allowed). So I did Zoey's big feet. Bless her princess heart she had whopper feet!!!. The I used is Lil Fella by Graham Like the Cracker and Wyld Web Designs.

Next up is a layout I did for a color challenge. It was birthday month at PDP and all the challenges were focusing on birthdays and so I did one of Cole after we silly stringed him. This was when he was in the 6th grade, after his school concert. We had him believing we were not going to be able to get him because there was too much going on...fooled him!!!

Another birthday challenge was the one word challenge and you had to use the word "celebrate" in your title or journaling. So again I pick Cole and silly string, but this one was from this year. It is getting harder and harder to surprise the boy (ok he's 17 but still a boy to me). But I think we got him this year. Hid our car in his garage and then we hid in his dad's shop. Both of these layouts were made with Kalo's Designs kit called Celebrate.

I rarely do two page layouts, not really sure why. I didn't really do them when I paper scrapped, so I don't do them when I digi scrap. But there was a template challenge at PDP that was a two pager. I used a kit by Sir Scrapsalot called Spring Symphony and the photos were taken at a local iris garden. I love irises and this place has some really beautiful ones.

Now for a layout I did with Secret Stash's Happy in my Heart kit. The photos are Cooper a couple of days before he was to be groomed. He was definitely a fuzzy face. It didn't help that he had been rolling in the grass, so his hair was sticking out on end. This was a template challenge and I really like how it looks.

I know many of you think the greatest contribution to the world in 1960 was me...yeah I know I'm old. The all about me challenge had us pull things that happened the year we were born. I think my favorite things were Green Eggs and Ham was written and the Etch-a-Sketch was invented...yeah I'm not an overly political person. But it was fun looking up different facts.

Ok the last one for this post is a layout I almost didn't do. I was to post on Scrappin' Daisies blog on a Monday, which is free day and I couldn't figure out what to post. I was going through the challenges at Brownie Scraps and found the indulgence challenge. I loved the mini kit they gave us to use. And in a very short time I had this layout of Tucker.

That is it for now but I have designers releasing kits almost everyday this week, so there will definitely be more to see (plus a freebie on Friday). See ya'll soon.

Splitsville and Making the Grade

No, I'm not splitting up with anyone, I'm going to show you some layouts made with a new template pack by Modern June called Splitsville. It is available at DSM and Scrapables. And since I somehow missed blogging out her new kit from last week, I'm also going to show you her collab called Making the Grade.

First is one of the templates from Splitsville. I used a photo of Tom and Mom from Mother's Day and a kit called Girly Girl from Mandy Made Digi Bits. You know pictures of Tom just scream girly girl (hehehe. I love this set of templates because it uses paper in a way I don't normally use, so it really inspired me to do something different.

My second layout is Sharla and Cooper doing what they love to do, snuggling, cuddling, etc. I used a kit from Valerie N Designs called Oodles and Burst because I love the colors. And again the template splits the paper which I think is so cool.

Ok now for Making the Grade which is a collab by Modern June and Miss Mis Designs. I was supposed to blog about these last week, but I forgot. The kit is available at both DSM and Scrapables. My first layout is Callie reading. She was really into the book and took it with her out to feed Jake and stopped to sit on a trailer and read.

My second layout is my first grade photo, yes a picture of me. I love the papers in this kit, and the elements are just too cute (don't you love the crayolas)

That is it for today, just make sure you pick up Making the Grade and Splitsville. And I'll be back later with more layouts.

Tooth Cute

Hey all, happy Wednesday all. I'm here today to show you some layouts made with Modern June's new kit called Tooth Cute and Tooth Cute – Add-on. Now talk about a fun kit this one is just too cute, great colors that are good for boys or girls, and elements that are just fun. It is only available at Scrappables this month and it is is 35% off this week.

My first layout is of Tucker, yes he brushes his teeth...ok maybe he just chews on the toothbrush (hehehe). When he was a puppy he found a toothbrush and went to town on it, so when I saw this kit I bought a cheap toothbrush so I could get some pictures of him. I love the toothbrush element.

My second layout is Cole taken several years ago. I wanted a toothy grin and Cole is one of the best at giving me those. His smile is just so engaging. The kit has a nice mix of elements, so you can do none tooth layouts as well.

Make sure you head over to Scrapables this week and pick up Tooth Cute and Tooth Cute – Add-on while they are on sale. I'll be back later with more to show you.

Shine On

Shine on, shine on harvest moon....you should be glad you're reading this and not having to listen to me sing...because I am a really bad singer. But back to the point of this post...I'm going to show you some layouts I made with Modern June's new template pack called Shine On and it is available at DSM. It is a fun set and it is CU/PU/S4H/S4O, and you can flip it, flop it, do anything you want to make it your own.

My first layout is of Cole and Danni, they were over for dinner, and he started picking on her and she wasn't taking any of his trash. It was so fun to watch because she was polite and poised and just kept tickling him and pushing him off the couch when he pushed her buttons. The kit I used is Happiness is... also by Modern June.

My second layout is Ms. Callie. The pictures were taken a couple of years ago, but I really love them. She has such a great smile, it just makes me smile. I used the kit Dusty Rose also my Kathy of Modern June.

So head over to DSM and pick up Shine On, it will be a great addition to your stash.

Happiness Is...

Two days in a row...woohoo I'm on a roll, ok maybe it is more like the designers whose CTs I'm on are on a roll...hehehehe. Today I'm going to show a a great new kit by Modern June called Happiness Is and it is available at DSM and Scrapable. It is a warm fun loving kit will help you make the perfect LO's about your family, friends and life. Its filled with fun word art, sweet elements, and rich papers.

My first layout is photos of somethings that bring me lots and lots of happiness and that is my three fur babies Tucker, Cooper and Zoey. I love the the five ring frame and just had to use it. And what could be more perfect to fill it with than the sweet faces of love. Although right at this minute they are barking and driving me crazy (hehehe).

My second layout I did during a speed scrap. I don't think it was supposed to be a white space layout, but you know me that is what I like. The photos are of Tucker take on the 4th of July. I really had fun substituting in alpha words into the journaling, I had never done that before. But it is trick I will have to use again in the future.

Make sure you stop by DSM or Scrapable and pick up Happiness Is soon. I'll be back tomorrow with more.

So Stacked and More

Happy Monday all, today I'm going to show you pages made with Modern June's new template pack called So Stacked and it is available at DSM, Scrapable, and Ginger Scraps. It is a great set and I really had fun with it.

My first layout is Sharla and Cooper in the backyard. I needed some 4th of July pictures so Sharla put on her new shirts and went out to pose for me. When she sat on the blanket, Cooper ran up to sit with her. I used Modern June's kit DSM as well.

The second layout I made with the kit is Tucker Joe on July 4th. We all piled on my bed that morning, and he was in heaven, he kept going back and forth between Sharla and I getting belly rubs. Normally one of the other of us has to be getting ready, so these days rarely do both of us get to be lazy in the morning. I used the kit DSM with the template.

Ok now is when I normally tell you to head over to one of her stores and pick the template pack, but I have more to show you. She released an add on for her DSM kit last week, as well as some alphas and a word pack to go along with it. I did a layout for it but never got around to blogging about it. So here it is, Callie in the surf at Nags Head.

So make sure you head over to one of her stores DSM, Scrapable, or Ginger Scraps and pick up So Stacked or any of her other cool kits.

I'm going to try to come back later tonight and show you all the great layouts I've made during the workshops at Digi Scrapbook Mania's Summer Getaway.

Beach Bound

I really wish I was Beach Bound, but alas, that is not possible this summer. However I do have a great new kit to show you by Modern June called Beach Bound. It is available at DSM, Scrapable, and Ginger Scraps and it is great! Beach Bound is a great summer kit with tons of LO potential. From beach LO's to pool, to just hanging out in the yard! You can find what you need here!

My first layout is a little crab found on the beach when we went to the Outer Banks a couple of years ago. Sharla got his photo, and I thought he was cute with the little crab elements from the kit.

Next up is Callie and Mecca on the same trip. It was just before Labor Day so it wasn't really hot out, but they wanted to soak up some rays. And if you stayed out long enough you did get burned (ask Cole). I love the colors in this kit they work so well with just about anything.

So make sure you head over to DSM, Scrapable, or Ginger Scraps and pick up Beach Bound (and it is on sale this week only).

Such A Square

Yeah, I'm talking about Sharla...hehehe...just kidding, it is a new template set by Modern June Creations and it is available at DSM, Scrapable and Ginger Scraps. The templates might be "square" but they are so easy to use and a great way to make quick yet beautiful layouts.

My first layout I used her American Honey kit and photos for Mom with Callie and Cole on Mother's day. It was hard to get good photos because they were laughing so much. In fact Cole laughed more during photos than he did during the game we played and we laughed a lot then.

My second layout is Callie and Honey and I used her kit Soul Sister to make this one. I love this template set because it really focuses on paper.

You should head over to DSM, Scrapable or Ginger Scraps and pick up the template pack Such A Square this week while it is on sale for 20% off. And I'll be back later this week with more layouts.

Soul Sisters

Ok I'm here to talk about Sharla...although she is my soul sister. I'm here to show you a new kit by Modern June Creations called Soul Sisters. It is available at DSM, Scrapable and Ginger Scraps. Soul Sister is fun, and sassy and filled with surprises! Let your pictures pop against the vibrantly colored pages and fun doodley elements!

My first layout is of Sharla taken before we had friends over for dinner. Ok it was Tina and Angela and we all wore our PJs which was fun. Ate, played games and we were all so very comfortable doing it. I love the bright colors in this kit, they just pop on the page.

My second layout is Callie, Mecca and Cole on Mother's Day. To be honest I'm not sure why he is lifting her up, but she was laughing so hard. And I love how Callie stopped to pose for the picture. And this kit has great elements including lots of great flowers (my fav).

So if I were you I would head over to DSM or Scrapable because Soul Sisters is on sale for this week only (20% off).

All Frogged Out

No it is not one of the Biblical plagues, it is a new kit by Modern June Creations and it is called All Frogged Out. The perfect kit to scrap those little boy pictures, plus more. Textured fun papers and three alphas you don't want to miss out on kit.

I created two layouts with it, and went a little different route. It is some of Tina and Samuel's engagement photos, and I titled it "No More Frogs" because she has found her prince charming and so doesn't have to kiss any more frogs. I love the little frog elements.

My second layout is of Cole, and he is definitely a future prince, now a smart girl just has to nab him. He is kind, funny and handsome, what more could a girl want. Ok, I know, maybe I'm just a little bias, but he is a great kid.

All Frogged Out is available at Scrapable, DSM and Ginger Scraps so head over to one of them soon and get it.

American Honey

Does a theme ever seem to run through your life, well for me the last couple of weeks it has been American Honey. First I did a song lyric challenge for that song and now Modern June Creations has introduced a new kit called American Honey. I don't know if the song inspired the kit, but the kit is just beautiful. You can get it at Ginger Scraps or DSM and you should really get this kit.

My first layout I used one of her templates from the pack All Curled Up and it is available in both places as well. And the photos are Mom and Aunt Jean taken when they went to North Carolina in '07. I love the flowers in this kit and the template was a perfect way to use them.

My second layout is Sharla and Cooper at Thanksgiving. He was tired and restless since we were in a different house, so she picked him up to cuddle. I'm not sure who was happier, her or him. He just wanted to relax and he was able to do that when she held him. I love the colors in this kit, yellow, pinks, blues, and tans and they just go so well together.

So make sure you head over to DSM or Ginger Scraps and pick up American Honey and if you've not heard the song, you can find it on CMT's web site, it is really quite nice.

Bohemian Chic

I love Daylight Savings Time about a week after it starts, but day one and two are rough. But enough boring stuff, I get to show you a new kit from ModernJune Creations and it is called Bohemian Chic . It is an eclectic kit full of surprises so your layout possibilities are endless. The kit has richly textured papers, unique patterns, elements from plastic to felt to inked and three alphas, all different fonts.

My first layout is my fur babies, also know as love bugs. Both Cooper and Zoey are afraid of storms, so in the spring they are really love bugs. Just this morning, it was nice out, but I think a storm must be coming in because I had some great snuggle time with the babies.

My next layout is Tina, and she is not kiss a chicken...there maybe layouts of that later...hehehe. We were at the park and she was messing with Angela and got to laughing so hard she could barely breath.

The kit has lots of fun elements and was lots of fun to use. You can pick it up at
Digi Scrapbook Mania or Pretty Scrappy and will be available at Ginger Scraps later this week. Be sure to come back tomorrow for another new kit and a freebie.

Pocket Full of Posies

It's time to play ring around the rosy...ok maybe not. But I do have a beautiful new collab kit to show you called Pocket Full of Posies. It was created by ModernJune Creations and Teri's Thing O-My-Jigs and is available at Ginger Scraps. Ohh and it so very pretty and spring like, just what I needed after all the snow last week. And congratulations to Kathy the designer behind ModernJune for opening her two new stores....I'm thrilled for her.

Ok my first layout is Callie and Cole, the photos where taken at Thanksgiving. The kit has the prettiest frame and I just had to use it. I had to do a little cropping on the photos, but I really like how it looks. The wording came from a dove candy, they have little sayings inside and I really like this one, so I thought it fit here.

My next layout is Sharla, Tina and Angela at the park. Angela was trying to push them off the bench and they where laughing so hard that she was winning. I think they were surprised, and they just couldn't stop laughing. I really liked the paper that transformed from yellow and white polka dots to a pink solid, so I wanted to use it. All of the colors in this kit are bright and cheery and just make you want to smile.

Head over to Ginger Scraps today and pick up a Pocket Full of Posies today.

First Frost

Well I'm a little late if I'm talking about the first frost here in Texas, since we've just had one of the coldest spells I can remember. The high in the 20's and wind chills of 3 degree....THREE something is definitely wrong. Luckily things are getting a little better, it was in the 50's today. But the First Frost I'm talking about is a new kit by Modern June Creations. Your first look at it is my blog background and header. The colors are great for not only those winter photos, but also any layouts where you want a soft pallet.

My first layout is of Zoey, I did it for the template challenge for Digi Scrapbook Mania, and I really like how it looks. I love Kathy's templates, they are always fun to use. If you look close at the picture, Zoey has snow on her. She did not like the snow at all, and we had to make her go outside to potty.

My second layout is Callie, the photo was taken on Thanksgiving. We did some family shots, then Callie was "posing" for Sharla. She was having fun and we were having fun watching her. Her smile makes me smile.

First Frost is a great kit, I recommend you head over to Digi Scrapbook Mania and pick it up, and her template packs are great too. I'll be back tomorrow with more.

Wednesday, Sept. 30th

Hubble Bubble Toil and Trouble...yes it is that time of year. I like Halloween, mainly because kids enjoy it so much and it is fun to watch their excitement. Modern June Creations has come out with a great Halloween kit called Hocus Pocus and it's coloring is just a little different than normal kits, which makes it great. Something new and exciting.
I've done three layouts with the kit and really love the colors (but then I'm a purple girl). The first is an old co-worker dressed up as Liz Taylor a few years ago for our office celebration. I think she looks very very good as Liz, and who isn't just a little wicked.

Next is a very pretty kitty cat named Callie. The first year we were in the new house, Sharla and I had to work the Fall Festival at Church, so Callie came over to hand out candy to the kids, since it was hard for Mom and Dad to answer the door and keep the dogs from running outside. She came up the costume after she got to the house. And it was funny we had some older boys trick or treating and one of them hit on her. She thought it was so funny.

Lastly is another photo of former co-workers. This group is very creative and slightly goulish. But for all of their scariness, you couldn't meet a nicer group of people.

Ok that is it for today, I'll be back tomorrow with a new kit from Jewelscraps.
