Catch Up Post

Ok I'm going to have a fairly large post tonight. I'm going to show you lots of layouts I've done using Victoria Feemster's products. She has had lots of great new kits in the last month or two and some really cool ones coming soon.

My first layout is of Tom and Mecca and the kit is Everlasting Love, somehow they just went together well in my head. I love the fallish colors of this kit, and it has great elements too.

Next is a layout I did of Callie and Mom. The photo was taken last Thanksgiving and it is one of my favorites of the two of them. I used the kit Hope, which is a nice kit with beautiful neutral tones.

I love the kit Hey Dude because it is bright and graphic and perfect for photos of Cole. So of course I used him in this layout. I'm not sure what the look on his face is about, be I think he rocks that hat.

Next up is a layout with Cooper. The kit is called Monsters Under the Bed. I didn't have many sleeping kid pictures, so I decided to scrap my little monster....ain't he cute.

Now for a layout that Callie will hate!!! I'm not exactly sure why Sharla felt the need to snap a photo of her on the potty, but it was perfect for the kit Potty Party. And don't you love she was reading...hehehe

Ok do you recognize the person in this layout...well I was going through old Halloween photos and found this one of someone I used to work with...ok so maybe she was out on Halloween and her department mates decided to fill her chair. This kit is called Spooky Town.

Ok the kit for this layout is called This One Life
This One Life and the photos are Callie and Cole with Mom taken on Mother's Day. They were having such a grand time messing with her. She just ignored their antics.

Ok the last one for today is another Halloween layout. The kit is Trick or Treatin' Cuties and the photo is an old one of Callie and Cole. She is a french maid and he is a pirate. I wish I had been better about dating the photos, because I have no idea how old they were. But I love she is "dusting" him.

Well that is it for today, hopefully I'll be back tomorrow or Sunday with another big catch up post. I have lots to show you!!!!

So Much to Show You

Ok this is going to be another huge post, because I'm creating layouts much faster than I am posting here, so they are getting backed up something fierce. Today the layouts are going to be from various places, but most will be challenges I've done.

I'm going to start off with one that has been in my backlog forever, I did it as a speed scrap over at GingerScraps and never showed it to you. I think because the subject is giraffes and not someone I know. I got the photos when Sharla, Cole and I went up to Arbuckle Wilderness one year on Christmas break.

Yeah my oldest non published layout is off of my to show list. Next up is a layout I did with Modern June's portion of the August Build a Kit at Digital Scrapbook Mania. I love the colors in the kit. The photo is Zoey giving Sharla kisses.

Next up is one I did for Stuff to Scrap's Word of the Week Challenge. The work was lazy and I knew right away what photo I wanted to use, Sharla and Cooper "napping". This is Let's Get Together by Scrap N Pieces, and I love this kit.

I'm on a roll with my older layouts, so here is another one I did for a speed scrap at DSM. It features Tucker Joe watching while I get ready for work. He much prefers the days when I stay home, because he likes to have someone to lay down with him. This I used is called Dusty Rose by Modern June.

Now for a layout I did for a font challenge at Polka Dot Plum. The kit is Monkeying Around by Victoria Feemster and as soon as I saw it, I knew I would use a photo of Sharla. Daddy called her Monkey, all of her life, even when she was grown, so of course I had to use her.

I did the next layout for the Use it or Lose it challenge at Stuff to Scrap. They give you a mini kit and you have to use all of it on your layout. Sometimes this is easy and sometimes it is not. I like this one because there were not too many papers and elements.

Modern June's contribution to the September Build a Kit at DSM was beautiful and I really enjoyed using it for this layout. The photo is Callie opening her birthday present several years ago, it was just what she wanted...you can tell by the look on her face.

This layout I'm sure looks a little odd, but the challenge was to photograph a body part (no face or head shots allowed). So I did Zoey's big feet. Bless her princess heart she had whopper feet!!!. The I used is Lil Fella by Graham Like the Cracker and Wyld Web Designs.

Next up is a layout I did for a color challenge. It was birthday month at PDP and all the challenges were focusing on birthdays and so I did one of Cole after we silly stringed him. This was when he was in the 6th grade, after his school concert. We had him believing we were not going to be able to get him because there was too much going on...fooled him!!!

Another birthday challenge was the one word challenge and you had to use the word "celebrate" in your title or journaling. So again I pick Cole and silly string, but this one was from this year. It is getting harder and harder to surprise the boy (ok he's 17 but still a boy to me). But I think we got him this year. Hid our car in his garage and then we hid in his dad's shop. Both of these layouts were made with Kalo's Designs kit called Celebrate.

I rarely do two page layouts, not really sure why. I didn't really do them when I paper scrapped, so I don't do them when I digi scrap. But there was a template challenge at PDP that was a two pager. I used a kit by Sir Scrapsalot called Spring Symphony and the photos were taken at a local iris garden. I love irises and this place has some really beautiful ones.

Now for a layout I did with Secret Stash's Happy in my Heart kit. The photos are Cooper a couple of days before he was to be groomed. He was definitely a fuzzy face. It didn't help that he had been rolling in the grass, so his hair was sticking out on end. This was a template challenge and I really like how it looks.

I know many of you think the greatest contribution to the world in 1960 was me...yeah I know I'm old. The all about me challenge had us pull things that happened the year we were born. I think my favorite things were Green Eggs and Ham was written and the Etch-a-Sketch was invented...yeah I'm not an overly political person. But it was fun looking up different facts.

Ok the last one for this post is a layout I almost didn't do. I was to post on Scrappin' Daisies blog on a Monday, which is free day and I couldn't figure out what to post. I was going through the challenges at Brownie Scraps and found the indulgence challenge. I loved the mini kit they gave us to use. And in a very short time I had this layout of Tucker.

That is it for now but I have designers releasing kits almost everyday this week, so there will definitely be more to see (plus a freebie on Friday). See ya'll soon.

Another Catch Up Day

Ok today I'm going to show you some pages I've been creating for Victoria Feemster. She has so many great kits out right now. She is currently selling at Gotta Pixel, Scrapbook Bytes and SugarHill Co. and creating great things.

My first layout is using her kit called Eternally and features Sharla and Zoey. I love the colors in this kit, and although is might be a "love" type kit, it can be used for so much more.

Next is a photo of Tina, Liz, Gail, Linda and I on Tina's wedding day. It was so much fun catching up with old friends, although we didn't get to spend much time with Tina...she was just a little busy (hehehehe). The kit I used is called Friends Forever and I also used one of her Monthly Frames.

Victoria has the cutest kit called Lullaby that is just precious. I used it to create a layout featuring Cole. He was just learning to crawl and we decided to give him some incentive. He was such a cute baby.

I've worked with some fun kits, but I have to say that Slurpy Facials and the matching Slurpy Facials Word Art have been some of the funniest. There is just something silly about them that makes me smile. Since you won't find cheerleader photos of me anywhere, I used some of Angela taken a couple of years ago when she cheered for Upwards.

The next kit I'm going to show is called Sweet Serenity and is a great mix of green, blue and orange. I used Cole making a silly face...I know you're shocked that I have a photo of him doing something like that, but I got lucky and caught it...hehehehe.

Ok we're close to the end, next is a layout that features no one...yeah it has a photo on it, but not of people. The layout is called Gotta Have and it features thing I carry around with me every day. The kit was called Unordinary Girl, but she has not released it since moving stores. I loved the colors in it.

And last for today, but by no means least is her latest kit which is available at Scrapbook Bytes called Sweet Treats and is a bright cheerful kit. I used a photo of the boys getting their favorite summer treat, ice cream.

Well that's it for today. I've got a million things to do today, but you should head over to one of Victoria's stores and check out all of her cool kits.

More to Show

Ok I have lots to show you, several kits by Victoria Feemster and more from Polka Dot Plum designers. Plus a few other layouts I've done for other challenges. So I'm just going to jump in and show you what I've done.

My first layout is a kit by called His Day by Victoria Feemster and is the perfect kit for those boy's birthday pictures. I used a photo taken of Cole on his birthday, we actually surprised him this year, it has been very hard to do that for the last couple of years.

My second layout is using Victoria's companion kit called Her Day and I used a picture of Sharla from Christmas. I loved the little birthday hat and thought it was just perfect for the photo (hehehe).

Next up is another kit by Victoria (she's been very busy) called Celebrate USA which is a 4th of July kit. Sharla was willing to pose in the backyard with her new t-shirts for the 4th. I ended up doing two layouts with this kit. The first is her and Tucker.

The second layout is her and Cooper. I did this one for a quote challenge. I love the colors in this kit and just wanted to play with it some more.

Next up is a kit called Pitter Patter Bundle and I used a baby picture of Cole. It is from his sucker day, we were trying to get him to crawl so we put a sucker just out of reach, and he managed to get to it. This is his victory shot.

My last layout for Victoria (for now) is with her new kit called Botanical Bliss and Botanical Bliss Word Art and this is a wonderful kit. All of her kits are great, but I really love this one. The photo I used is Cooper in the Bluebonnets last year.

Ok I know I said I would do more, but I'm just too tired, so this is it for today. I'll try to come back tomorrow and do another bunch.

Lots to Show

Happy Wednesday, all...I hope each of you is having a wonderful week. It's going to be a hectic one for me, so I'm going to try and show you several things in this post. Starting with 3 new kits by Victoria Feemster, then one by Sherry Ferguson, and then some stuff. So grab your popcorn and start scrolling.

My first layout is Cooper using a new kit by Victoria called Apple of My Eye. It is a bright whimsical kit, that is perfect to show off the apple of your eye. I love the greens and reds in this kit and thought they showed off Cooper wearing the sweet pea costume quite nicely. I saw the costume the other day and thought about putting it on him again, but it is a little hot.

Next up is another new kit by Victoria called Unordinary Girl and I'm sure ya'll can guess whose photo I chose for this kit. Yeah it is the one and only Callie Yetal....who is that, well I've not gotten the whole story but it is Callie and something she did on facebook. The picture was taken on Mother's Day. I really love the colors of this kit, they are bright and really pop on the page.

The last new kit by Victoria is called BBQ & S'mores and I used a photo of Tom grilling on Mother's Day a couple of years ago. He as gotten good at grilling. The kit is packed with all kinds of fun stuff for any type of outdoor cooking.

Next is a kit by Sherry Ferguson called Ocean Wonder that is perfect for those pool and beach photos. I love the elements, they are just fun, especially the mermaids. I used a photo of Callie in Malcolm's pool several years ago.

Next up a kit by Scrapberry, I was assigned her as a designer at PDP, but she has left, so I don't have a link to the kit, but it is called Hootie Cutie. I picked a photo of Tucker that I just love.

Next up is a layout I did of Cole for a theme challenge, using the Route 66 kit by Stuff to Scrap. The photos are right after he got his new truck, he was so proud.

Now is a layout of Trey and Callie, the photo is about 2 years old, and I can't believe how grown up they are. I used a kit by Polka Dot Pixels call Chocolate Truffles. I did the layout for a word challenge at PDP.

And my last layout for tonight is one I did for a template challenge at PDP and I used Sir Scrapalot's kit Busting Out All Over, one of my favorite kits. The photos are Callie when we were building the house. The day they installed the tub, she had to lay in it. She is a little bit crazy.

It's going to be a busy week, but hopefully I'll be back later to post some more layouts. But in the mean time head over to Polka Dot Plum and pick up Victoria's new kits.

A Man's Meaning & Sun Kissed

Hi all, I hope you had a wonderful Memorial Day, I know I had a great one. Since my work schedule is Monday and Tuesday off, my holiday was actually Sunday. Sharla and I had a great time running errand together. With our current schedules it is hard to do that now. But enough about that boring stuff, I have exciting news, well exciting for me. I applied for and was accepted onto Victoria Feemster's creative team. She is a great designer and I love her stuff.

She has a couple of new kits releasing this week at Polka Dot Plum. The first two are part of the Plum Pickins and they are called Sun Kissed Mini and Sun Kissed Solids and they are so pretty. Great colors and cute elements. My layout is of Callie, Cole and Mecca on Mother's Day. I asked Mecca afterwards if she ever thought she would be the short one in the family, and she said no, she was always the tall one. Cole is growing straight up!!!!

The second kit she is releasing is called A Man's Meaning and is a great men's kit. It is packed with all kinds of "manly" elements. And free with purchase 6/2 - 6/16 is a template pack called Write Down The Middle. I used both to create a layout called World's Greatest Dad. I still miss him.

So head over to Polka Dot Plum and pickup one or all of these kits. They are great! I will be back soon to post some more...I know I said that last week, but I promise. :)
