But that is not what I'm here for today.No I'm going to show you a layout I made with a new kit by Digi-Designs by Nicole called Owl Always Love You. Happy Tuesday all, I hope you've had a wonderful January, can you believe today is the last day? Time is just flying past. Today I'm going to show you layouts I made with a great kit called Remember – A Poppy Kit by Seal Scraps. It is a wonderful kit with great colors and elements. I really had fun using it.My first layout has a picture of my grandmother on it. It was taken years ago, and I really wish I had more pictures of her. I love the elements in this kit, lots of great flowers which is always fun.

My second layout is Sharla when she was very young. Mom used VO5 to make her hair show up in the photo and to give her a curl...just like daddy used to do in his hair. I love the colors in this kit, red with touches of blue, tan and black!!!

Keep The Faith

Happy Thursday all, hope you're having a wonderful week. It has been busy, but I've gotten to scrap a couple of pages. Today I'm going to show you pages I created using a kit by Scrappin' Serenity called Keep The Faith. I really loved this kit at first sight, because of the color combination. There is just something about grey, green, yellow and brown that really attracts me, and the kit has great elements too.

My first layout is Callie on Thanksgiving Day. We were at the table and she posed for one of the few photos taken that day. Sharla and I both took cameras, but I think we were still in recovery mode from her and mom being in the hospital. As always Callie makes a beautiful subject, and I really love all the flowers in the kit.

Next up is Ariella and to be honest I'm not sure when I took this photo. It was on my SD card and I thought it was cute. I know when she gets older she won't appreciate having chubby cheeks, but they sure are cute!!!!

Happy Saturday all, I hope you are enjoying 2012. It has been an exciting year and it is only day 7. Mom got to come home from the hospital yesterday, but now is wearing oxygen. We're hoping she is better about wearing than daddy was, because he would never wear his. Sharla has started physical therapy and is hoping to return to work soon. She is walking quite well with the walker, and looking forward to walking without it. But that is not what I came here today to talk to show you. I got to work with a wonderful kit by Just So Scrappy called Abby and I want to show you the layouts I made. It is a great kit packed with lots of elements, flowers, strings, ribbons, and lots more. But what drew me to it was the wonderful warm colors.

My first layout is about Sharla on the day she got her new "foot". I did it for the Scrap What challenge in the Stuff to Scrap forum, which is about feet this month. I just couldn't resist, plus I took lots of pictures that day because I want to document her wonderful progress. I love the flowers in this kit, there are several different types and each comes in several colors. And the alphas are great too.

My next layout I did for the Scraplift challenge, and I used photos of Angela in her dance costume. I love this series of photos, because she was having fun showing us her dance moves. I don't do blended photos too often, but I think this one turned our really well.

Believe and a Freebie

Happy New Year everyone, I hope you've had a blessed year so far. It has been a little rocky for us, but we are handling it. Mom's defibrillator went off on Tuesday so she is currently in the hospital , but feeling much better. I hope she is coming home soon (like today). Sharla starts her first physical therapy with her new leg today, so she's off and running....ok off and walking slowly, but we'll take it. But that is not what I came to talk about today. I'm going to show you a layout I created with a new kit by Scraps by Andrea called Believe. A wonderful Christmas kit filled with rich colors and cool elements. I love that is has Christmas things, winter things and just general elements so it can be used for all kinds of layouts.

My layout features Sharla on opening one of her Christmas presents. When going through the ads for Black Friday she mentioned a mini cupcake maker, but we didn't get out and she totally forgot about it. I saw one on Christmas Eve when I was getting some last minute supplies and couldn't resist. I told her I bought something she asked for, but she kept saying she didn't ask for anything. That was up until she opened it. Score one for me, well if she ever cooks me cupcakes with it...hehehe.

Today I'm going to show you a layout I made with a new kit by Scraps by Andrea called ‘Tis the Season. She was inspired by her daughters pjs, so it is a bright cheerful kit just fully of fun elements. I think it is perfect for all kinds of holiday layouts. And she had her team make brag book pages for you as freebies, yeah!

My layout features Callie taken several years ago, but she was very excited to get a phone for her room. I love kits where I can cluster and this one is perfect for it. Lots of great elements including some great flowers and greenery, not to mention great frames.

Pine Cones and Holly Berries

Can you believe it is already the 21st of December? Well thanks to Amazon I've got the majority of my shopping done, and lots of it already wrapped. Still waiting for the UPS man to bring a few more and I have to pick up a couple of things locally, and then I'm done. Nothing like waiting until the last minute. But that is not what I'm here to talk to you about today. I'm going to show you layouts I created with this month's Mega Collab at Stuff to Scrap. And it is mega and it is fun!!!! Pine Cones and Holly Berries is a kit that is packed full of elements and great papers, perfect for your holiday pictures.

My first layout is Sharla last year at Christmas. She was quite excited to open her iPad, and who wouldn't be. I love the yellow (gold) in this kit, it really pops against the other colors and I love the flowers, but ya'll know I love me some flowers.

My next layout is a little more whimsical, and I love a kit that can go from traditional to whimsical. The photos are my babies with Santa. We had to miss that this year, with everything going on with mom and Sharla, it just wasn't in the cards. I also love the addition of brown in the kit, it makes the kit so versatile.

Glisten, Old World and Templates

Ok, I'm behind again, well with my blogging. Luckily I'm caught up on my layouts. Today I'm going to show you layouts I made with kits by JennCK Designs as well as some of her templates. The first kit is called Glisten and I love the mix of blue and brown. I also used Modern Style Templates Vol. 10. I love love love her templates. The photo is one I took in 2010 during one of the many snow storms. Ok so there weren't that many, but to this Texas girl it sure seemed like it.

My second layout is Sharla and Tucker last winter on a snow day, they were snuggled up together most of the day. I used Paper Inspired Templates Vol. 10 on this layout.

Next are two layout I made using her Old World kit and Modern Style Templates Vol. 11 and Paper Inspired Templates Vol. 11. This kit is so cool, it is an old fashioned Christmas kit and since I'm old, it fits me perfectly. The first layout is Tom and Callie on Christmas Day 2006, she loves her daddy!!!

My second layout is Tom and Mecca opening presents a couple of years ago. I love the fun templates in the Paper Inspired pack.

Most Wonderful Time

It is the Most Wonderful Time of the year, at least in my opinion. I love the Christmas season, it brings out the child in me. I know it's silly, but I love to sing along with the carols, and look at the lights and watch all the movies. I know I'm sappy, but hey that is me. Today I am here to tell you about a new kit by Scraps of Ellay called Most Wonderful Time and it is perfect for you holiday photos. It is packed with great papers and elements that can be used for all kinds of things.

My first layout is Tucker visiting Santa. He loves people, but Santa isn't his favorite. I think it is because of the gloves. The poor Santa didn't look like he was having a good time last year. Tucker enjoys going to the store, but he would prefer that Sharla or I hold him. I love the blue and pink in this kit because they really make the layouts pop.

My next layout is Callie opening her rake. She asked for a rake and we bought her one and wrapped it. She laughed when she saw it because you could tell exactly what it was. I had fun using the tree and packages elements on this one, and I really love the patterns on the papers in this kit.

Happy Sunday all, I hope you have had a wonderful week. Are you Thankful, I know I am. I have so many things to be thankful for that I can't even begin to list them. But that is not what I'm blogging about today. I'm here to show you layouts I made with a kit by MDK Scraps called Thankful. It is a wonderful mix of fall colors, great elements and perfect for all kinds of layouts.

My first layout I did for the template challenge at Stuff to Scrap. The photos are Sharla and Cooper. It is one of my favorite photos of them together. He doesn't like his photo taken, he will turn away from the camera. I love the colors in this kit, they are fallish, but in a wonderfully muted palette.

Next up is another photo of Sharla and Cooper, I think they are just on my mind a lot these days. Sharla is doing so well, but that big sister in me still worries. I did this layout for the scraplift challenge, which was a little odd, because the original layout was mine. So I scraplifted myself.

Happy Friday all, I hope you've had a wonderfully productive week. Me, it's been ok. I'm actually blogging on the day of release, so things are getting better. Today I'm going to show you a layout I made with a new kit by Scraps by Andrea called Emma’s Room. It is a beautiful kit of purples, greens, browns and blues, that work with all kinds of layouts. It has a nice mix of elements including my favorite lots of great flowers.

My layout features My Sweetie, also known as Tucker Joe. I love the purples in the kit, but the green really popped out at me and I had to use it. And I had to use the flowers, they were just begging to go on the page (hehe).

Lots to Show You

Ok this is another catch-up post. November was as crazy as October and I got behind on my blogging. But the good news is both Mom and Sharla are home. Things are still a little crazy, but much less so now that I don't have to visit two different re-hab facilities every day. Mom is doing really well, she is moving around with much more ease. Sharla is doing great as well, she is learning to do more and more each day. We are hoping to meet with the people about her "new foot" next week.

Now let me show you some of the goodies I've been making with JennCK Design's products. She has some really wonderful stuff and I have to say I LOVE her templates!!! If you are a template person, check out her stuff they are really wonderful. I'm going to start with the newest stuff first, because I love Dr. Suess, and How the Grinch Stole Christmas is my favorite Christmas story. And today she is releasing Who-Village at Ginger Scraps. There are four pieces to it, Who-Village Paper Pack, Who-Village Element Pack, Modern Style Templates Vol. 9 and Modern Style Templates Vol. 9. I love the colors and the slight quirkiness for these pieces.

My first layout is Tucker and Cooper with Max from the How the Grinch Stole Christmas. They weren't happy posing with him, and they didn't like him really at all. In fact we have to make sure he is not where they can get to him or they will take him and rough him up a bit. I used the modern templates for this one.

My second layout is using the paper inspired templates and features that goofy group...ohhh I mean Tom, Mecca, Callie and Cole. The photo was taken last Christmas. It is hard to get a good picture where all of them are serious. One or another is always making a face.

Ok now for some other layouts that I've not posted before. Autumn Walk is a beautiful fall kit, I love the colors because they are fallish, but muted at the same time. They work with all kinds of photos. I also used Modern Style Templates Vol. 4 and Modern Style Templates Vol. 4 because as I said I love her templates.
This one used Autumn Walk and the paper inspired templates. The photo is one I took of Angela a couple of years ago when we were at a park on a warm December day. I the yellow leaves behind her, they add great color to the photo.

The next one also uses Autumn Walk and the modern templates and features Zoey in the pumpkin patch. I was very sorry we didn't get to take the dogs to the patch this year, but it wasn't in the cards.

Timeless Traditions Paper Pack and Timeless Traditions Element Pack are what I used for the next layout featuring Sharla and Tucker. I was wanting a photo of Sharla playing on her iPad and Tucker just had to join the fun.

I love the kit Honor not only for the colors and elements, but for what it represents. I don't think we honor much any more and we really should. I also used Modern Style Templates Vol. 5. One of the biggest "honor" situations I've seen in a while is when the Jr. ROTC at Guyer HS honored veterans and that is when this photo was taken. I couldn't have been more proud of Cole and his unit.

Isn't She Lovely + Freebie

Happy Monday all, it is a very happy day for me, my sister is home from the hospital and I was told that mom is coming home tomorrow. But that is not why I'm writing today. I am here to show you a layout I made with a new kit by Digi-designs by Nicole called Isn’t She Lovely. Plus I made a freebie for you with the kit. Also I realized I hadn't shown you layouts made with a couple of her other kits, so I'm going to show them to you as well.First up is my Isn’t She Lovely layout, which features the cutie Ariella. I love the colors in this kit and it is packed with great elements.

A Baby Story

Happy Thursday all!!!! For those of you who visit that are friend and/or family we got some good news today. Sharla's white blood cell count is 6.3 so she is definitely in the normal range. Which means hopefully she will be coming home next week, and it looks like mom may get to come home too.

Now for the kit I'm here to talk about, it is called A Baby Story by Scrapteam2008. It is a great kit for all those baby boy photos and even more. My first layout is Cole, such a cute little chunk!!!! I love the mix of colors and patterns in this kit, I think they work great with black and white photos.

My second layout is Cole also, but with Sharla. She was giving him a real hair do...ok maybe a hair don't. I love boy kits that include flowers and this one has several.

Happy Tuesday all, I am so behind it is not even funny. Today I am here to show you a layout I made with a new kit by Scraps by Andrea called Sweet November. But when I was looking through my posts I realized I forgot to post about her last kit called Autumn Splendor and I had a freebie for that kit. So I'm going to show you both today.

My Sweet November layout was created for the quote challenge at Stuff to Scrap. I love the quote and it made me think of Tom and Mecca so I used photos of them. I love the colors in this kit, and all the wonderful elements. Andrea did this kit as a collab with Scrappin' Serenity, so you should check it out as well.

Now for the layout I forgot to post before is from her kit called Autumn Splendor and it is a beautiful kit. I did a layout with pictures of Callie and Mecca, now those are two peas in a pod. I love the flowers in this kit.

My first layout is my niece at Thanksgiving a couple of years ago. I love the colors in this kit. And the elements are perfect for so many kinds of layouts.

My second layout I did for the Scrap What challenge in the forum. This month we are scrapping about something we are thankful. I love kits with lots of flowers for clustering and this kit has great ones.

Grab Bags by JennCK Designs

Ok I suck I am so behind on blogging, but with everything with mom and Sharla, I just haven't had the heart or time to do it. For those of you that are friends and family, I'll give a short update. Mom is at rehab and doing good, they are working her hard, but I'm hoping she will be home soon, she is making good progress. Sharla has also been moved to a rehab facility last Friday. She has a great attitude, but has some work ahead of her.

Now lets get to scrapping stuff I have some really cool stuff to show you, the designers I work with have been very gracious about giving me time with everything happening, but I don't want to let them down. I am going to start with the wonderful Grab Bags created by JennCK Designs for DSD. They are all on sale for $4 through today, so hurry and get them!!!!

First up is a layout I made using her Holiday Cheer Grab Bag and Paper Inspired Grab Bag. They layout is Callie and Tom playing Angry Birds on Christmas day.

Next is a layout using her Friends and Family Grab Bag and Paper Inspired Grab Bag. The photos are Ariella and her favorite toy Tigger. She so funny when she laughs at Tigger.

Here is another layout that uses Friends and Family Grab Bag and Modern Tempates Grab Bag. The photo is Tina, Samuel and Angela taken about a week before they got married.

And lastly is a layout I made using Modern Tempates Grab Bag and Indian Summer. The photo is Tom and Callie taken a couple of years ago. She is definitely a daddy's girl.

Just Fallin'

Happy Sunday all, with everything going on I am definitely behind, but trying to get caught up as fast as possible. Today I am going to show you layouts made with a great new kit by Flower Scraps called Just Fallin’. It is perfect for your fall photos, and will work for both boys and girls.My first layout I did for the font challenge at STS and I really liked the font called Lily Page. I really like the color concept of blue, green and orange, because the photos really pop with it. And such great papers in this kit!!!!! The photo is Zoey at the pumpkin patch.

My second layout I used more of the greens and oranges and I really love the combination. I also love the shiny elements like the copper brad and swirl, I think they look great on the page. And the lattice green paper is my new favorite. The photo is Callie at her birthday a couple of years ago.

A Passonate Summer

Hello all, I'm here today to show you layouts I made with a kit by Queen Bee Scraps called "A Passionate Summer". I love the colors in this kit and it is packed with great elements. It is an elegant kit, that will be usable for so many things.

My first layout is Cole through the years. I look at him now and just can't believe he is so grown-up, he should still be about 6 years old. He was such a fun kid, and that playfulness is still there, thank goodness. It is just packed in a much larger body. I did this layout for the template challenge at Stuff to Scrap.

My second layout is Angela, posing for photos in her dance costume. She is growing into such a big girl, it seems like all the kids in my life are growing up way to fast. It means I'm getting old. I did this layout for the recipe challenge.

Mystery Machine & Freebie

Hi all, I am so behind, this should have been posted yesterday. But with Mom in the hospital, my world has been a little on edge. So far they haven't found anything, but she isn't seeming to improve either. But that is not what I came here to show you today. Scraps by Andrea has just released a new kit called Mystery Machine, which was the blog train theme at Stuff to Scrap this month. She expanded the kit and made a matching Mystery Machine Cardstock. I really loved playing with this kit because the colors were fun, and it had all kinds of goodies in it.My first layout is my three little Scoobys...yep the wonderful Tucker, Cooper and Zoey. Although they are out of sync right now, they don't like the changes to their schedule. I really love the yellow/cream color in this kit, I think it really highlights the photos well. And I loved tucking all the different elements around the layout.

My second layout is Cole when he played the Puppet Master in a play. He had such an evil laugh that it really sent shivers up my spine. Of course he would grin at me afterwards and I would just crack up. Such an odd mix is that boy. I used the more "boyish" colors for this layout and I really how the colors pop on the page.

Happy Monday all, today I am going to show you a layout I made with Digi-designs by Nicole's newest kit called HallowScream. It is a great Halloween kit, just packed with fun elements and the colors are great too. I really fell in love with the purple paper, yes I do love some purple.

My layout is my friend Phyllis a couple of years ago dressed up as Dumbledore...hope I spelled that correctly, I'm not a big Harry Potter fan. Yes I know I'm odd. I also really like the jack-a-lantern. I tried to show you several of the papers, because this kit has lots of great ones.

Now for my freebie, I made a frame cluster. I didn't have any witch pictures or I would have used it on my layout. I love the witches legs and just had to use them. Happy Saturday all, I'm going to show you lots of layouts today and all of them are done with kits by JennCK Designs. I was lucky enough to be invited to be on her team last month, and she has been really creating some great stuff. Now what I am going to show you is a mix of new kits and some re-releasing kits. She has opened new stores at Ginger Scraps, and is a guest this month at Gotta Pixel, so she is one busy lady. I love her stuff because she does lots of flowers and ya'll know me...nothing makes me happier than flowers.

First up I'm going to do the kits she is re-releasing. Fall In Love is a beautiful fall kit that is packed with goodies. I used the matching Fall In Love Templates for this layout of Tom and Mecca. The combination of green, red and tan is one of my favorites.

The next kit she is re-releasing is Delicious and it's matching Delicious Templates, which I used for this layout of Callie and Cole. They are the apples of my eye and I love the bright colors with the black and white photos, and those little apples are too cute!!!!

The last re-release is Indian Summer and Indian Summer Template. I love this kit the flower are TOTALLY awesome, and the colors just are yummy. I coveted this kit for a long time!!!! I used it in a layout with Sharla, Mom and Aunt Jean, and that blue background paper is just so pretty to me. Yes it is a solid paper, but I still love it.

Ok now on to some of her new stuff. First up is an exclusive she has at Gotta Pixel right now called Pride and Joy and if you buy the kit before 11/15 you will get the Pride and Joy Add-on for free. I used both in a layout I did of my little Zoey. I love the rich colors in this kit, and it will go with so many things.

Next is a great Halloween kit called Midnight and it is available in all of her store and if you purchase before 10/31 you will also get the Midnight Add-on for free (ain't that cool!!!). For this one I dug my photos of my little Sweet Pea Tucker. I need to get the costume out again and get some more pictures, because he is too cute in it.

And last but not least are two layouts I made with her Gotta Get It releases at Gotta Pixel (they are on sale for $1.00 per pack for the next week). The kit is called Breathe Easy and it is broken down into Breathe Easy Papers and Breathe Easy Elements and she has two template packs as well. For this first layout of Ms. Angela in a dance pose I used the Paper Inspired Templates Vol. 3 which are awesome.

And on my last layout for today I used the Breathe Easy pieces again along with Modern Style Templates Vol. 3. The photo is my Daddy, Grandmother and Uncle Clinton, three people I truly miss. And as the song says, "If heaven weren't so far away I would pack up the kids and go for the day.".

4 Seasons Fall

Happy Wednesday all....well for me it is my Monday. But it was a good day, the weather has been cooler and I can feel fall in the air. Which is why I was very excited to get to work with Scrap N' Pieces new kit called 4 Seasons Fall. It is a beautiful and I do mean beautiful fall kit that is just packed with goodness. I really struggled with my layouts because I wanted to use everything!!!! And a little word to the wise...since it is new it is on sale for $2.50 from today to the 12th.

My first layout is Tom and Mecca, taken last year at Christmas, they are still a cute couple. I love that top paper, really love it. It is so elegant looking and yet rustic too. The the kit has great flowers and leaves, and all kinds of other goodies too. I love the combination of rusty orange and army green. And the title is done in the alpha from the kit.

On my second layout I pulled more of the blues and greens from the kit. Don't you just love a kit with lots of color options? The photos are Sharla and Callie and I love how they looked against these colors. And I had fun using all the different buttons and brad, I loved tucking them here and there.

Lemon Meringue & a Freebie

Happy Monday all, today I'm going to show you some layouts I made with a new kit by Scraps by Andrea called Lemon Meringue. I love the colors in this kit and it is just packed with wonderful elements. It will work for all kinds of photos!!!.

My first layout is Callie and Uncle King George, and was taken back in 2007. We recently lost him, and I love this photo of them together. I have seen lots of layouts with the side clustering and thought I would give it a try. And this kit is packed so full of great elements, that I had fun just packing them onto the layout...hehehe.

My second layout is Ariella and I love the look on her face in these pictures. Sharla took the photos and Ariella was laughing at me...I know you find that hard to believe, no one would find me funny looking, but she was just giggling and Sharla was just snapping away. I love the flowers in this kit, and I love that they work with the tan tones like in the first layout or with the grey tones like in this layout!!!!

Night Fall Minis and Templates

Happy Sunday all, today I'm going to show you layouts I've made with JennCk's newest minis and templates. She created these for the Ginger Scraps Buffet, so that means each piece is only $2.00!!!! She did two minis, 3 template packs and a scribble pack. The colors are wonderful and as always the templates are even better.

My first layout is Cooper, Sharla was trying to get photos of him next to a pumpkin she bought and he was not happy about it. She was disturbing him totally!!!! I used Night Fall Mini 1 and Night Fall Clean Lines Templates for this layout.

My second layout is of Daddy. I loved the little owls she had in the mini and thought this was a cute way to use them. As the holidays approach I miss him more and more!!! I used Night Fall Mini 2, Night Fall Paper Inspired Templates and Night Fall Scribbles for this one.

For my third layout I used Night Fall Mini 1 again along with Night Fall Modern Templates. The photos are of Ms. Callie on Halloween several years ago. She dressed up to give candy out at our house. It was an on the fly costume, but I think she looked very cute!!!.

I love that her top is almost as big as she is. I love the mix of soccer elements and flowers, but ya'll know me. I love flowers.

Slumber Party

Happy Happy Thursday all, today the high is only supposed to be in the 70s and it rained for just a little bit, man that makes me smile. After a long summer of 100+ temps, I am so ready for Fall. But enough about me, today I am here to show you a layout I made with a wonderful new kit by JennCK Designs called Slumber Party. It is the girl's match to Sleep Over and a wonderful kit. The colors are pinks and yellows, and it is packed full of flowers and you know I love me some flowers. She has even created an add-on Slumber Party Paper Flowers that you can get for free with the purchase of the kit if you buy before October 15th (so hurry!!!!).

The layout I did also uses her Modern Templates Vol. 1 and is something you don't see very often here. Yes it is a layout that actually has a picture of me on it (hehehe). Well one photo is me and one is Callie and we're wearing her dress-up clothes. Well I'm wearing the veil and fur wrap, and she is wearing the veil and white dress. She loved to dress up even as a little girl and still loves it today!!!!

Happy Monday all, I hope you're having a wonderful day!! I know I am, because I got to scrap with a great kit by Just For You Digi Scraps called Sweet Pea and it's companion Sweet Pea Add-on. I love kits that are packed with flowers and this kit is just full of them. And it has wonderful colors to book. Just look at the linked preview below to see it's goodness.

My first layout is 'Angela posing for some dance shots, she is growing into such a beautiful young lady. I did the layout for the Song Lyric Challenge in the forum. I love doing challenges, they really help me get my scrap on (hehehe). I love the colors in this kit, purple is my favorite color and mixed with the greens, is just wonderful

My second layout is Tina and Ariella, aren't they cute!!!! I got a little cluster happy, but then I love to cluster. I did this layout for a Word of the Week challenge. And I loved using the word "wonderful". I also really love the textures on the papers in this kit.

Grillin' It

Happy Wednesday all, I hope you're having a wonderful week. Today I am going to show you some layouts I created with a kit by HD Creations called Grillin’ It. It is a bright cheerful kit perfect for scrapping your bbq photos and much more.
My first layout is mom and dad taken years ago after a bbq. I love the hat and apron daddy is wearing (hehehe). I also love the flag banner in the kit and just had to use it.

My second layout I wanted to show how versatile the kit was so I didn't do a bbq page at all. I took one of the photos I took of Angela in her dance costume. I really love the dark brown against the bright colors. I think it makes the photo really pop.

My layout is that little cutie Ariella, she is just growing so fast. It is hard to believe how big she is getting. I love the elements in this kit especially the orange fabric flowers. I don't know why I love them but I do.

Happy Monday all, today I'm going to show you quite a bit. I have a brand new kit by JennCK Designs called "Sleepover", plus she has three new template packs and I have created a layout with one of her older kits called Dahlia. So sit back and get ready to see some goodies. Sleepover is available this week at Scrapbook Bytes as part of their Grab a Byte, which means each piece is only $1 and the template packs are on sale as well.
First up is Daddy and Cole, also known as Buddies. They were a pair, I'm not sure who had more fun when they were together. And I see a lot of Daddy in Cole, he definitely got his sense of humor. I used the Modern Templates Vol. 2 for this layout.

My second layout is Callie and her bestie Watson. She is nuts about that dog, it must run in the family. I used a template from Clean Lines Vol. 2 for this layout. I love the colors of the Sleepover kit, they go with so many things.

My last layout using Sleepover is Sharla and her camera. She hates that I take pictures of her taking pictures, but it always makes me smile. So of course I continue to do it. I used a template from Paper Inspired Vol. 2 for this layout.

I also got to use one of Jenn's older kits called Dahlia and I love the colors of this kit. Maybe because it is just packed with pretty flowers. I used a photo of Ariella because I thought she would look good against the pinks.

Deep Blue Sea

Happy Thursday all, I hope you're having a wonderful week. I know I'm enjoying the cooler weather!!!!! Today I am going to show you some layouts I created with a new kit by Digital Scrap Fun called Deep Blue Sea a great kit perfect for your aquarium and/or fishing photos, plus a lot more. It is a great mix of color and elements that are fun and versatile.My first layout is Callie and Daddy on her first fishing trip in the ocean. It was one of those charter things and she had a great time. We didn't catch a lot of fish, but I think it was more just getting out on the water that made her happy. That and being with Papa. I love the mix of colors in this kit because they really make the photos pop.

My second layout I wanted to show that the kit could be used for other things, so I did a non fish layout. It is Callie again, and I think she is riding a dolphin, but I can't be sure. I love kits that put in flowers, button, etc. so you can use them for more than just themed layouts.

Veggielicious

Happy Labor Day everyone, I hope you had a wonderful day of non labor. I know I did!!! I spent the morning on the back porch enjoying a wonderful cool morning, and I'm so ready for fall!!!! It was so much fun, just enjoying the weather!!!! But enough about me, today I'm here to show you a layout I made with a new kit by JennCK Designs called Veggielicious. It is a wonderful kit that is packed full of cute elements and great papers. I love the greens in this kit, they are just the perfect shades. I also used another one of her new template packs called Paper Inspired Vol. 1.

The photos I used are some I took earlier this summer. Sharla and I had been to the local farmers market and picked up some great veggies and we thought it would be fun to photograph them. But if you know me, you know I couldn't resist playing a little. I had a pass the pigs game on the table so I took the pigs out and began to pose them with the veggies. I am easily amused.

Happy Friday all, I'm so very excited today because I've been given the opportunity to be on the creative team for JennCK Designs. I love her kits and her templates, so it is going to so much fun!!!!!! I just joined yesterday and I already have somethings to show you. She released two new kits and three template packs today, yeah!!!! In this post I've worked with her new kit called Fruitilicious and two different template packs, Modern Templates Vol. 1 and Clean Lines Vol. 1.My first layout is of my three sweeties, and I used the Modern Templates. I really love the colors in the kit and thought they would look good against b/w photos. And I love a kit that has a mix of elements so you can do any type of layout with it.

My second layout is Angela in one of her dance costumes. I also used the Clean Lines templates. I love clean lines and I love this set of templates. I flipped this one, so the photos and paper went horizontally on the page instead of vertically. And don't you just love that daisy paper!!!!

Amusement Park Fun

Happy Thursday all, I hope everyone is preparing for a wonderful weekend, a nice long one at that!!! Well if you're in the US. I know I hope to do lots of things this weekend, nap, watch TV, scrap, nap, read, nap, shop, nap...are you catching on to my theme for the weekend. Well enough of that, today I'm going to show you a couple of layouts I made with Scraps by Andrea's September BAKs (build a kit). They are called Amusement Park Fun Patterned Papers, Amusement Park Fun Cardstock, and Amusement Park Fun Elements and they are so much fun. Perfect for scrapping your photos from the amusement park, fair or carnival. I love the colors and Andrea did a great job with all the elements.My layouts both use photos I took last year at a local carnival. Sharla and I went to take photos, just to play with our cameras, and had a really cool time. I loved capturing the motion on the ferris wheel in the first layout. I hope a carnival comes back soon because I want to play some more.

My second layout was photos I took of the teapot ride. It was waiting for people to get on it and I thought it looked pretty. And when I saw Andrea's teapot element I remember these photos. Next time I'll have to see if I can get Sharla on the ride (hehehehe).

Back 2 School and a Freebie

Happy Wednesday all, I know two days in a row, ya'll are going to be spoiled. I know I should blog more often, and I'm trying to get better. Maybe that will be my new years resolution next year hehehe. Well today I'm going to show you layouts I made with a new kit by Scraps by Andrea called Back 2 School. It is a fun kit perfect for scrapping all of your school photos, and it is a great mix of colors that will work for boys or girls.

My first layout is Sharla's first grade photo. Doesn't she look cute in that bun! I remember Mom doing our hair with those, and I hated them. But I really love the school elements like the pencil and crayons, they are just too cute.

My second layout is Callie, doing some reading at one of Cole's football games. I won't swear it was study related, but I'm going to say it was just for the fun of it. Isn't the little bookworm cute too!!!

Happy Tuesday all, I hope everyone is having a good week. Me, I'm just trying to survive the heat. Took Mom to the doctor today and the car was registering 116 degrees...which is just plain hot!!!! Well at least it is cool when I'm at my computer...hehehe. And today I'm going to show you a layout I made with a new bundle by Digi-designs by Nicole called Family Picnic - the Bundle and a freebie too. This kit is perfect for your backyard picnic and bbq photos. It is a great mix of colors and elements that will really be usable for so much.

My layout features Cole and Daddy (aka Papa), when Cole was first introduced to ribs. And let me tell you it was love at first site for that boy!!!! Papa had such a great time feeding him. I love the elements in this kit, a great mix of fun things like the grill and normal elements like ribbons and flowers.

Bracket Templates

Happy Thursday all, a quick post to show you a layout I made with Digi-designs by Nicole's newest template set called Bracket Templates. These fabulous templates help make your layouts unique and different and you can change directions of the templates for even more possibilities.

My layout is of Ms. Callie jumping for Sharla and I as we tested our cameras. She was having fun trying to jump and not cover her face. A little later she thought it would be fun to have Sharla photograph her throwing a ball. The last thing said to her before she threw it was don't hit Sharla, and that is exactly what she did, square in the face. I think Sharla liked the jumping pictures more (hehehe).

Rose Garden

Happy Wednesday all, I hope you are having a wonderful week. Today I'm going to show you layouts I created with a kit called Rose Garden and it's coordinating Rose Garden Cardstock. I love the mix of pink, green and brown in this kit, and of course you know me if it has flowers I'm a happy happy girl.

My first layout is of Ms. Ariella and I did it for a scraplift challenge. I loved the felt roses in this kit and could have used them a 100 times, I just had to restrain myself. Plus I really like the mix of patterns in the papers in this kit.

My second layout is Sharla and Cooper. I've scrapped this picture before, it is one of my favorites. I had the layout done on this one and was just looking for a photo and thought this fit it perfectly. I think this is my new favorite layout. I used the matching cardstock for the background, and love the "rough" look to it.

I really enjoyed using this kit and cardstock pack. It is very versatile and will be using it again and again in the future. I think it would make a great addition to your stash, so head over to Stuff to Scrap and pick up Rose Garden and Rose Garden Cardstock soon.

Touch of Red

Happy Thursday all...and day 41 of 100+ temps here in Texas. I don't know about ya'll, but let me just say, anything above 100 is HOT!!!!! I am so so ready for fall. The only good part about the heat is I avoid it by staying inside and scrapping. Which leads me to Touch of Red by Getting Scrappy with Britt, the kit I used for today's layouts. It is a great kit with rich colors and great elements.

My first layout is Cole and Dani. Aren't they cute!!!! I did this for a song lyric challenge and the song was "All you need is love" and I couldn't resist using the repeating "loves". I really love the mix of red, gray and cream.

My second layout is Ms. Ariella, and I have to say she is a real cutie!!! Normally you see baby photos with the pastels, but love her pictures with the gray and red. And you know me, any kit with lots of flowers is my friend.

Day at the Beach and a Freebie

Happy Monday all, I hope you're staying cool, it is definitely hard to do that here in Texas. We are on day 38 of 100+ degree temps, and it is supposed to be 109 tomorrow. Makes me want to go to the beach...well I want to go almost any day (hehehe). My desire to visit the beach matches the kit that is being released by Nicole of Digi-designs by Nicole called Day at the Beach. This kit is perfect for your beach, lake, and water photos. Happy Tuesday all, today I'm going to show you some layouts I created using Froggies in Her Pockets by Scraps by Andrea. It is a kit filled with cute little frogs and adorable little girls, and is perfect for scrapping both tomboys and girly girls! I love the color combination she picked!!!!

My first layout is little Miss Ariella looking super cute. Sharla and I took photos of her for her mommy. I love the all the flowers in the kit they are perfect for clustering.

My second layout is Miss Ariella with her big sissy Angela. It was hard getting a good pictures because Ariella got fussy for her bottle, but I thought this one was cute. And the pink, orange and brown color combo is really great!!!

Today I'm going to show you a layout I made with Digi-designs by Nicole's new kit called Under the Sea and it's companion kit Under the Sea Cardstock and to give you a freebie I made. This bright cheerful kit is perfect for your photos with Ariel or just about any water, beach fishing shots you have. The colors are cheerful and can be used for all kinds of things. My layout isn't about Ariel because I don't have any photos with her, although I think she is my favorite Disney princess. No I found a photo of Sharla holding a fish and just couldn't resist using it. Look at those sunglasses, she was beyond cool.

Happy Friday all, I hope everyone is having a wonderful July. I think July is the most popular month for vacations. I know as a kid that was when we always took ours. Are you going any where fun this year. Well whether you are going by plane, train or automobile there is a new kit in the store that is perfect for you. Growing up we did a road trip every summer, some of my best memories go back to those trips. And every year leading the charge was my dad. I called him the king of the road trip because he was so good at it. I love all the signs in the kit they are just so much fun to use.

My next layout is of my puppy driving, ok don't go crazy he isn't really driving, he is just behind the wheel waiting for me to get back in the car. I love these pictures of him and thought they'd be fun with these kits. I love the colors in these kits because they go with everything!!!!

This Wonderful Life

Happy Tuesday all, I hope you're enjoying July...me not so much it is very hot here. But that means I spend more time inside scrapping, so that is good. Today I'm going to show you layouts I made with a new kit by Scrappin' Serenity called This Wonderful Life. This Wonderful Life is the perfect kit for scrapping those everyday moments in life. The colors in the kit are perfect for girly or boy layouts! This is a kit that will keep you coming back to it to scrap with!

My first layout is Callie and Cole just being "Kids". Ok maybe they are a little old to be called kids, but they will always be kids to me. I really love the flowers in this kit, they are perfect for clustering.

Happy Monday all, I hope everyone is have a wonderfully cool summer....I know you're not if you are in the DFW area, because it is just plain HOT here. I am totally thankful for air conditioning!!!!! Today I'm going to show you layouts I made using two new word art packs by Digi-designs by Nicole. They are Scattered Words Volume 1 and Scattered Words Baby Edition. Scattered Words are a fun way to add a little something more to your layout whether you are wanting to use it in place of journaling or with limited journaling, you can't go wrong.

My first layout is using Scattered Words Volume 1 and Nicole's kit Peace, Hope and Love. The photos are Cole and Dani, aren't they a cute couple.

My second layout uses Scattered Words Baby Edition and Sweet Sadie. The photo is the super cute Ariella, and she is simply precious!!!!

Berry Delight

Happy Wednesday all, I hope everyone is having a good week. Today I'm going to show you layouts I made with the kit called Berry Delight Mega Collaboration Kit. This kit is prefect for scrapping any sort of summer pictures and is full of yummy berries and fruits that just make summer so great. This kit works great for either boys or girls, the young, the old, anything or anyone at all. It is packed full of great papers and elements and I really really love the color combinations.

My first layout I did for the Template Challenge at Stuff to Scrap. I used the more of the berry colors and I had such a hard time picking which papers to use. The photos are Miss Ariella and just a touch of Sharla.

My second layout is Callie and Tom, the photo was taken after Cole's graduation when we were all just sitting and visiting. I did it for the Song Lyric Challenge at Stuff to Scrap. I used more of the blueish papers in this layout, and I love them too. That is what is so cool about the mega collabs, they always have so much great stuff, it is hard to choose.

Template Temptation: Vol. 11

Happy Tuesday all, today I'm going to show you layouts I made with Digi-designs by Nicole's newest set of templates called Template Temptation: Vol. 11. They are a great mix of templates that are a great way to jump start your scrapping.

My first layout is Callie and Cole being silly after his graduation. I know I still can't believe he has graduated High School. He was just a baby yesterday, I swear!!!! I love the simplicity of this template, and yet it still makes a great layout.

My next layout features one Zoey Le'Rue otherwise known as Zoey Girl or Stinky Butt, depending on my mood. She ignores me when I call her Stinky, and I don't know why. She is such a spoiled brat.

Happy Wednesday all, I hope you're having a wonderful June. I don't want to wish time away, but I'm ready for fall. With the rain we've had the last couple of days, it is super muggy outside, which is no fun!!! But the good thing is I have more time inside to scrap!!!! Yeah me. And let's just say that Andrea of Scraps by Andrea has been very very busy this month. My second layout I used some photos Sharla took several years ago when we visited the Dallas World Aquarium. We're going to have to go back soon. I love the "Dory" fishes.

Happy Tuesday all, I hope those of you in the DFW area survived the storms last night. We lost a tree, it snapped in half, but other than that no major damage. They say we might get more today, which we need, but I would really like it to come in a nice slow rain, rather than in severe storms. But enough about that, I'm posting today to show you a layout I made with a new kit by Digi-designs by Nicole called How My Garden Grows Bundle. It is a great kit for scrapping your garden photos. Meadowlark

Happy Thursday morning all, I know two post in two days. Well don't think I'm doing better, I'm actually doing the posts at the same time, just scheduling them to post at different times. Hopefully I'll get on a better schedule soon. But for now I want to show you layouts I made with a wonderful kit called Meadowlark by Ivory Keys Digital Dreams. This kit is soft and elegant, but still has a deep richness about it as well. The colors are wonderful and the elements are great, and it lots of flowers!!!

My first layout is of Sharla and Tucker. I needed photos for something else and so she sat on the futon with her Ipad for me to take the photos over her shoulder. But Tucker just had to get up next to her and do a little snuggling and kissing. I really love the range of colors in this kit.

My second layout is my friend Tina, her sister and their dad. Sharla and I took some photos of them a couple of years ago, and I love this one. The flowers in this kit just beg to be clusters and you know me, I can't resist.

Hi all, happy Sunday to you. I hope everyone is enjoying their June. It has been a busy month for me, but hopefully the second half will be slower. Today I'm going to show you layouts I created using Design by Ashlee's Down and Dirty Paper and Down and Dirty Elements. I love the color combination on these, they are perfect for boys, but so much more.

My first layout is Cole on his graduation day...yes that is right he graduated high school. I don't know where the time went, just yesterday he was a little kid!!!! He has grown into a fine young man!!!

My second layout is Sharla and her new camera. We have been wanting a dslr for some time, and finally broke down and got one. I think she took 3000 pictures in the first week. Now not all of them were good photos, but she is having a great time with it.

Hey all, I'm going to show you some layouts I made with a kit called Punked by The Scrappy Kat. It is a wonderful kit that is based on steampunk. And I love the mix of colors and elements because they can go from simple to elegant.

Both of my layouts feature Mr. Cole. For those of you who don't know he will be graduating high school in just a few weeks. I can't believe it, he should still be a little kid. I really love the gears in the kit.

My second layout is Cole again, I love his smile in this photo. I did it as part of a lyric challenge and I was really struggling with the song and decided to only take a very very small part of it.

Combing The Beach

Hi all, I hope everyone is having a great Friday. I'm here to show you a couple of layouts I made with a kit by Growing Pains Scrapped called Combing The Beach. It is perfect for your beach/lake photos and so much more. A wonderful color combination and great elements make this an easy kit to use and enjoy.

My first layout is Cole on the beach at Nags Head, NC. I used lots of the beachy elements and I really love the surf board. When going through my photos looking for a beach one, I really wanted to go back to the beach, and just relax for a while. But unfortunately that's not going to happen anytime soon.

My second layout is Tom, Sharla, Ira, Hazelene and I and the photo was taken several years ago when they drove down to Texas for a visit. I will say I don't remember a time when the group of us got together that we didn't have a good time. I did this layout to show ya'll that the kit can be used for so much more than just beach photos.

The kit is called Splendor and I also used Splendor Add-on. It is a great kit that works for all kinds of layouts, the color mix can work for boys or girls.

My first layout is Zoey, the photos taken in October. She was in a posing mood, maybe because we were outside. She normally walks away inside the house. I love the pink and brown combination.

My second layout is Callie, "playing" the guitar. Ok she is holding a guitar, she never learned to play it. Lot of cute elements in this kit and I love the touches of black.

Ok if this works I will be able to get caught up on showing ya'll lots of layouts. I'm trying to use the slideshow feature of photobucket. I've loaded all of the layouts I've been doing for Trixie Scraps (since I got the idea from her blog). I think there are about 30 layouts in the mix. It is so much easier than loading one layout at a time. If it works, then I'll try and do more of my challenge layouts this way and maybe I'll get caught up again (hehehe). We can only hope.

iColor {A Mega Kit}

Happy Monday all, hope everyone in the DFW area survived the storm last night. I had a couple of scared pups and one that kept barking at the thunder. So not much sleep for me. But that's not what I'm here for today. I'm going to show you a couple of layouts I made with a kit called iColor {A Mega Kit}. It is a monochromatic kit, well actually it is nine monochromatic kits bundled together. And each kit on its own is great, but bundled it is fantastic.

My first layout is Callie and Cole, from Mother's Day last year. I mixed papers and elements from all the kits to make this bright page. And they definitely color my world!!!

My second layout is Callie, taken a few years ago, ok maybe more than a few. I used mostly the red kit, but threw in touches from the green and black kits as well. I love bright colors, they really pop on the page.

Those Were The Days

Happy Wednesday night all!!! I don't know about where you are, but spring is here, and that means wind blowing "stuff" around in the air. I love spring but I hate allergies. But enough of my moaning. Today I'm going to show you a couple of layouts I made with a kit called Those Were The Days by Meagan's Creations. It is a fun retro kit that reminds me of my childhood. I think it is all the patterns.

My first layout is Callie. I did it for a lyric challenge and when I saw the song chosen was Walking on Sunshine, I knew this kit would be perfect. And Callie is just a little bit of sunshine...no she is a big piece of sunshine!!! I also used on of Meagan's templates from Template Set Volume 4

My second layout is daddy, Tom, Trey, Callie and Cole. When I saw this picture all I could think of was that baby is going to graduate high school next month. Ohhh my how time has flown. I really loved the background paper I used here, that pattern really reminds me of my childhood.

Happy Friday all, I think Spring is back here in Texas, we had a brief cold spell, but nothing horrible. I know I'm ready for spring, I love all the beautiful flowers. Today I'm going to show you layouts I made with parts of the April Build a Kit at Stuff to Scrap. All of these were created by Scraps by Andrea and they are her Denim & Dirt set. She has four parts, Denim & Dirt Papers, Denim & Dirt Worn Papers and Cardstock, Denim & Dirt Elements, and Denim & Dirt Clusters. The colors are a great mix of blues and tans, perfect for all kinds of layouts, but especially perfect for boy layouts.

My first layout is Cole with Jake taken a few years ago. It is so hard to believe he will be graduating high school in just a few weeks.

My second layout is Cooper after he has been rooting around in the mud. He doesn't do this often, but every now and then he becomes a mud puppy.

Happy Thursday all, today I'm going to show you layouts I made with a new kit by Scraps by Andrea. This kit is called Lucky You and it has a matching Cardstock and well. This is a fun kit that can be used for lots of different things, like your St. Patty's photos and then so much more. I love the color combination, green which is a given but there is yellow and orange too, which really work well together.

My first layout is of Tom and Mecca. I think he knows he a lucky guy, and I know the rest of the world knows he is. As you can see the colors all work great together and Andrea has put lots of great elements in, so you can do so many different types of layouts.

My second layout is Cooper enjoying a spring day. He loves this time of year, and it is a challenge to get him to come in at night. He loves being outside and barking at anyone or anything that comes into his world. I love the little leprechaun and hat elements and just had to use them.

A Lil' Woodsy and a Freebie

Happy Sunday night all, I'm going to show ya'll some layouts I made with a new kit by Digi-designs by Nicole called A Lil' Woodsy. The kit is perfect for scrapping your child asleep, little babies, or the time you spend together playing, and is a great mix of greens, blues and browns.

My first layout is Cole when he was the "Puppet Master". I really like the colors in this kit and thought they worked well with this set of photos. And Cole was so good in this play, he has the best "evil laugh", it made me smile!

My second layout is Callie and she is sleeping on the window seat at my old house. It was a Christmas party, and she got a blanket and pillow and was gone. The funny part is the window seat was in the dining room so she was still in the middle of everything. I love the hanging moon element I used on this layout.

Come Sail Away

Happy Thursday all, I'm here to show you some layouts I made with Jensen Motley Crew Designs' kit called Come Sail Away. I love going to the beach, there is just something calming about the waves, and this kit is perfect for scrapping your beach/lake photos. It has a great mix of colors and elements that will really highlight your photos.

My first layout is Cole standing at the edge of the water on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. I love the colors in the kit because they really work with water photos. And I really love the little bird element, it just screams "beach" to me.

My next layout is a photo of the same beach as well as one of Bodie Lighthouse, which is also on the Outer Banks. It was fall, so the weather wasn't sunny, but it was so calming and relaxing, that I think I would rather visit during that time of year.

March of the Animals and a Freebie

Happy Monday all, today I'm going to show you some layouts I made with a new kit by Scraps by Andrea called March of the Animals a great kit for your photos from your zoo trips and so much more. It is a great set of colors and fun elements.

The first layout is of giraffes. I took the photo at Arbuckle Wilderness. Cole was feeding them out of the back of the van. It was so funny to watch!!!

My second layout is Miss Callie, doing what she does best...text. She was at a conference this past weekend, and I think she tweeted/texted more than anything else.

A Little Bit Of Luck

Hi all, three posts in four days, bet ya'll are wondering what is going on with me. Well I'm trying to get better and hopefully this weekend I will have a big blog post or two, because I have lots and lots to show you. But for now I'm going to show you layouts I created with a kit called A Little Bit of Luck which is a Mega Collab from the Designers at Stuff to Scrap. This is a great kit with lots of green, but also blues, golds, and browns. It is perfect for you St. Patty's photos and so much more. I really love the color combination in this kit.

My first layout is my favorite kisser and he really loves to give kisses, lots and lots of them. Tucker's nickname is Sir Licks-a-lot, because he will kiss anyone and everyone.

My second layout is Cole and Dani, wrestling/playing. They do make such a cute couple. But then I might just be a little prejudice, ok a lot prejudice. But as you can see the kit works well for all kinds of layouts.

Balanced Life

Happy Tuesday all, three days in row, can you believe it. But today I'm going to show you layouts I made with a kit by Designs by Snowlady called Balanced Life. This is a great project 52/365 kit, it is packed with lots of papers, great elements and even a calendar set for 2011. I love the mix of neutrals with pop colors.

My first layout is Sharla and Callie. The quote is actually from the author of Peter Pan. But both of those girls have brought a lot of sunshine into my life. I love the taupe papers in this kit. It really makes the photos pop.

My second layout is Callie and Cole. It is so hard to get them to take a serious photo, as you can see in this series they are having too much fun. I did this layout for a template challenge, and I love templates that are lots of blocking. It also shows lots of the great papers in this kit.

Happy Monday all, notice I'm blogging two days in a row...don't get used to it (hehehehe). Today I'm going to show you a layout I created using Digi-designs by Nicole's new kit For The Love Of... This beautiful kit is perfect for all sorts of scrapping moments. Not only is it perfect for Valentine's Day, but the soft palette makes it great to scrap any "love of" the moment.

I picked pictures of Tom and Mecca for my layout. I love this series of photos and I thought they worked well with the kit. And I love the color combination of this kit and the word art I used as a title is just too cute.

Rustic Charm

Happy Sunday all, I hope everyone is doing good. Today I'm going to show you some layouts I made with a kit called Rustic Charm and it's matching Rustic Charm Cardstock. I'm lucky that I get to work with lots of different kits by different designers, but this one is fast becoming one of my favorites. I love the colors and elements are a great mix that work well for masculine or feminine layouts.

My first layout I'm using a photo of Angela, a friend's daughter and their new puppy. I love the the reddish brown paper in the kit because it really makes the photos pop. And it doesn't hurt when you have two such cute models.

My second layout is Callie and Tom being silly with a sign Callie made. If you spot Callie "Yetal" on facebook anywhere make sure you tag her. I know my family is crazy and that's ok, because I fit in perfectly.

Hi everyone, hope you're having a great week. Me, well lets just say that February has been a rough month, I can't seem to get anything done. I think my brain froze during all the cold weather and still hasn't thawed yet. I was supposed to post on Monday the layout I created with Shake It a new kit by Nicole of Digi-designs by Nicole. She created it based on her love of Zumba, but it is so much more. Bright colors pop off the pages and super cute elements let you do just about anything with this kit.

My layout is of Callie. The photos were taken Christmas morning when she was "jumping". It was fun watching her jump and trying to catch it on film. She was having a blast doing it.

I had fun using this kit, because the bright cheery colors really perked up my gloomy self. She has a matching word art set for it as well. My freebie is a frame cluster I made. Sizzling Hot Again

Happy Monday everyone, hope you're having a wonderful day!! The weather has been much warmer, in fact we've had to switch on the air. Gotta love Texas!!! Today I'm going to show you layouts I made with a kit by Amy Dane Designs called Sizzling Hot, and I also used their companion kits Sizzling Hot Word Art and Sizzling Hot Glitter Sheets. These are all Amy Dane's part of a collab with Adriana's Cafe (the one I showed you last week).

My first layout is one I did that features my favorite drink. I did it for a photography challenge. I love my frappuccinos, my favorite is a Cinnamon Dolce with White Chocolate Mocha, just say yummo. I love the colors in this kit, they are rich and elegant and can be used for so many types of layouts.

My second layout is Callie and Daddy. They had such a special relationship. She made him laugh. I think this is my favorite picture of them together. I love how this kit can take a simple shot and make it look elegant with these wonderful colors and elements.

Happy Tuesday everyone one. I'm going to show you a couple of layouts I made with a great kit by Adriana's Cafe called Sizzling Hot. It is bold, grungy and really wonderful. I of course didn't use it for romantic layouts, but that is not me. But it worked well for my layouts.

My first layout is of Callie in the play Romeo and Juliet. She was playing the "apothecary". She didn't know what that was, so she asked and was told it was a drug dealer. We laughed at the difference of perspective. Mecca explained it was more like a pharmacist.

My second layout is my three little loves. This is one of my favorite photos of them. I did the layout as challenge where I had to scrap the "back" of something. I love the colors in this kit because they can go with just about anything.

Ohh Where to Begin

I have so many layouts to show ya'll I don't even know where to begin. It seems like forever since I've had a big blog post, but that changes right now. I'm going to cram as many as possible into this post...ok, I promise not to do more than 15, but I've got to get some out of my to post folder!!!! I think I'll show you challenges I've doing at Polka Dot Plum, since I am the Challenge Wrangler there, I do lots and lots of challenges.

The first up is one I did for an All About Me challenge, where I had to scrap something I use every day. I of course did my favorite new toy my Ipad and the cool little stylus I got for it. The kit I used is called Go for the Goals by Dawn by Design.

My next layout is one I did for a photo challenge. The challenge was to get a close up of some one's face. Well with the weather, I wasn't around too many people and Sharla refused to pose for me, so I used Tucker have he had been out eating the snow. The kit I used is called Softly Winter by Designs by Sweet Mesquite.

Now for a layout I did for a scraplift challenge. The photo is Zoey just sitting on my bed. She isn't fond of the camera, but every now and then she'll let me take her picture without a fuss. this kit I used is A Fresh Start by Sugar Pie Scraps.

Ok I have to show a layout with Cooper just to finish off the trio. This one was done for a twisty lift, you scraplift a page but change it in some manner. Doesn't Cooper look cute!!!! The kit used is Memory Lane by Jen C Designs.

Ok how about a layout with people in it? Hummmm Sharla is so fond of these pictures I took of her in the hospital. I did this layout for a one word challenge where I had to use the word "Time" on a layout. And for those who know Sharla she is doing much better, we are working on getting healthier, and she has come a long way since her second stay in the hospital. I used Sugar Pie Scraps kit A Fresh Start again for this layout.

I've gotten lots of comments in the gallery from other Angry Bird players when I posted this layout. The kit I used is Jangle by Sweet Tomato Designs. The photos where taken on Christmas morning when Tom, Cole and Callie were having Angry Bird races to see who could get through the levels the fasted. It was so much fun to watch because they did not take failure well.

This layout wasn't done for a challenge, it was done for a new designer at Polka Dot Plum called Farynar's Wings. She does wonderful kits and this one is called Mysterious. The photo is Cole and Dani on Christmas Day. Don't they make a cute couple!!!!

Now for another cute couple, Tom and Mecca. The photo is one of the series Sharla took at Thanksgiving in 2009 at Callie's house. It is one of my most favorite set of photos. I use them a lot because they look so good. I did this one for a newsletter challenge and the kit is Bee Mine by Bean Bunny Designs.

Here is one of Callie taken at Thanksgiving this year. She was laying on the floor posing and I just couldn't resist snapping a photo or two. I did this one for Dawn by Design for her to use as a sample in her shop. The kit is called Go for the Goals and I do love the colors in it.

And last for today, because 10 is a lot of layouts, I promise to try and come back tomorrow and Tuesdays and have big post days as well. This last layout is another one I did for Farynar's Wings for her to use as a sample. The kit is Mystic Mountain and the photo is Callie and Mom at Thanksgiving.

Hopefully I'll get several big posts done this week!!!!

Our Love Story & A Freebie

Happy Saturday all, I hope everyone is having a great day!!!! I know I am, because it is finally getting warmer here. The snow is fun to look at, but boy is it cold. And all the days off/working from home have really screwed with my scrapping schedule. But I'm getting back on track, now I've got to get into a better blogging mode. But for right now I'm going to show you some layouts I made with a new kit by Scraps by Andrea called Our Love Story and it is a wonderful kit. The colors are red, blue, cream and brown which work so well with all kinds of layouts.

My first layout is Cole and Danni at Christmas. They are on the couch playing Angry Birds, and all snuggled up together. I used the blues and browns on this one, because I love that color combination. I made did a photo treatment to make the photos match more.

My second layout is of Tom and Mecca on Christmas day as well. They wanted a family shot and then we did a couple of just the two of them. Of course it is hard to get good photos when your kids are outside of the camera range making you laugh!!! But I really like this one. I love the blue and red combination as well. Ok I just love the whole kit!!!

Infinity and Beyond

Happy cold Wednesday...don't know about ya'll but it is very very cold here. And to top off the cold we're having rolling blackout. We were without power for several hours this morning. When the high is 18 degrees, having no heat is no fun. We're all wrapped up in blankets trying to keep warm. But enough about this silly weather, I'm here to show you layout I made with a new kit by Digi-designs by Nicole called Infinity and Beyond. It is a fun kit that is perfect for those photos of your kids who love Buzz or anything space related.

I did a photo of Cole. He isn't in outer space, but he sort of looks like it. He is wearing a hat he made out of the no licking collars for the dogs. I really love the bright colors of this kit and the little alien is just so cute!!

Sweet Pea and a Freebie

Happy Saturday all, hope everyone is full of vim and vigor today. Me I'm a little under the weather, I think the cold is getting to me. But I'll push through it. Today I'm going to show you layouts I made with Scraps by Andrea's newest kit called Sweet Pea. This kit is perfect for scrapping your "sweetie" no matter who that is. The colors are a mix of blue, green, pink, peach and brown all softly done and the elements are just wonderful.

My first layout is Callie on Thanksgiving day. Mecca had found this head band that had a little hat on it, and Callie was showing it to us. Then she just continued to wear it all day. She loves striking a pose.

My next layout is my two sweet peas, don't know why, but I've called them that since they were puppies. The photos are just ones we caught one evening, when they were willing to pose. I love the blue/green combo in this kit.

I {Heart} Primary (revamped)

Hi all, I'm here today to show you some layouts I made using a kit called I {Heart} Primary (revamped) by SAHM Scrapper. It is a great kit she created based on the children's organizations at her church, but it is really so much more. I love the color combination and the element mix is great.

The first layout I did is Callie and Watson, he is growing so much!!! The photos were taken at Thanksgiving, and he is even bigger now. I really love the blue, green, brown and creams that I pulled out of the kit.

My second layout is Tom, Mecca, Callie and Cole on Christmas morning. It is hard to get a photo where all four are looking at you and no one is making a face. It seems like one or another is always cutting up, as in this photo. I really love kits like this one that have a great mix of colors, because you can do so many different things with it.

Noel

Hi all, for those concerned my sister Sharla is out of the hospital and doing much better. It is a slow road, and she is bored already, but she gets to go back to work half days starting tomorrow. Now for the fun stuff. I am going to show you some layouts I made with a kit called Noel which is a collab by Mommy Me Time Scrapper and The Scrappy Kat. I love the colors in this kit, it has the traditional red/green/gold but also has purple and blue. So it can go with just about any holiday photo you have.

My first layout is of Sharla and her favorite Christmas present this year. Yes she got an Ipad (and so did I) and we both love them. It has been lots of fun going through the million and one apps available for it. I used more of the traditional colors in this layout.

My second layout I through in a little of the purple, just because I love purple. The photos are of Callie jumping. Yes jumping. She would jump and we tried to catch it on the camera. I think I did fairly well. It was fun just watching her try. As you can see I used the flowers on this layout as well, they are just so pretty.

Can it be a bad year already???

Ok so far 2011 is not the best year I've ever had. New Year's Eve was spent in the ER with Sharla, she has congestive heart failure...yeah you read that right. I had all these great plans to post out a lot of my layouts on New Year's Day, and over the next couple days, while I was off. But that all went by the wayside. She is feeling better, but they still have her in the hospital, and we're hoping she gets to come home tomorrow.

I have a massive amount of layouts to show you, ok maybe not massive, but enough that I want to get them out of my to do box. Today I'm going to focus on layouts I created for Challenges at Polka Dot Plum. The first up is a photo of Trey, Callie and Cole, taken a couple of years ago. The kit is Christmas Treasures by Charm City Scraps. It was done for a word art challenge and Tobi Dawne did the word art.

Next up is one of Zoey I did for a font challenge, the font was called Font Moochers and I really liked it. Zoey is in my pillows and not happy that I brought the camera out...thus the title.

Now for a Christmas time tradition at our house. Well actually at our pet store. They have a Santa for the babies. This was last year, and it was a real challenge getting three into and out of the store. This year we took Cole along for support. The kit used is Glittery Christmas by Sugar Pie Scraps.

Next is photos from Aunt Jean's birthday party. We all had a great time, and she was very surprised. I used a kit and template by Jen C Designs.

Ok I've discovered photo treatments and am having lots of fun playing with the free ones I've found. My favorite is one called 70's that gives the photos a look like something from the 70's. I did it on this photo of Cooper, it is not the best example, but I really like the effect.

I used the same treatment on this photo of Tucker. It lightens the photo and washes the color just a bit. Which I really think is cool (maybe because I remember the 70s). The kit I'm used on this one is called A Dog Says Woof by Roseytoes Designs.

Here is one I did of Sharla, the photo was taken last spring. I'm not sure I'll ever get her to go back and pose there again, because afterwards I found a baby possum in one of my photos right where she had been standing.

Now for a couple of older photos. This is Callie and Cole playing on the couch. She was tickling him with her fingers and hair and the more he laughed the more she did. Sharla was having a hard time hanging on to him.

I've had many people tell me that if they believed in reincarnation, they would want to come back as one of my dogs. Ok my babies are a little spoiled. Here is Tucker, as he watched me getting dressed one morning. You can see he leads a really tough life.

The last one for now, is Sharla and Cooper. I did it for a lyric challenge, but I only pull a couple of words to use. I love this kit by Secret Stash called The Way That I Am. It works for so many things.

I will try to be back tomorrow with more. I really want to get my stash cleared out and then blog on a more regular basis. Keep Sharla in your thoughts and prayers!!!!

Snow Day

Ok we don't get too many Snow Days here in Texas, but we do get them. Today I'm going to show you a layout I made with a new kit by Digi-designs called Snow Day. It is a beautiful mix of blues, greens and creams that work for snow pictures and so much more.

My layout is of Callie on Christmas day in 2004. We got a mixture of snow and ice and she was trying to get a closer look. How she kept from falling on her face I'll never know.

Hi all, I hope everyone is ready for Christmas. I've purchased all of my presents, wrapped about 90% of them and only lack stocking stuffers. But enough about me, today I'm going to show you layouts I made with a kit by Pixel Me That Design called Signature T. It is a great staple kit for your stash. It is feminine, but the color scheme is neutral enough that is can be used for almost any type of layout.

My first layout is of Tina, Samuel and Angela at the wedding. I love the green in this kit because it works with so many different types of photos. I did this layout for a template challenge.

Next up is Zoey, she was sitting beside me on the couch on the back porch and I started playing with her hair. Sharla started snapping photos. I think she looks cute, but by the look on her face she wasn't impressed.

Warm Winter Wishes & A Freebie

Happy Monday all, do you know it is only 5 days until Christmas...that means 4 shopping days left. If you're trying to decide what to buy me, I'll take gift cards (hehehe), just kidding. Today I'm going to show you layouts I made with a new kit by Scraps by Andrea called Warm Winter Wishes and it is perfect for you winter photos. A great mix of blues and browns, so you can do your snow and hot chocolate photos.

My first layout is some ducks in the snow. I got these photo last winter during one of our many snow days. The really didn't seem to be phased by the cold. The kit is great because it has a nice mix of elements including flowers, snow flakes, buttons and ribbons, all which make for great clustering.

My second layout is Tucker in the snow. He was running as fast as he could to get out of the snow. It was very cold on his woohoo, and he wasn't liking that at all. He had no problem looking at it from the porch, but he didn't want to be in it.

Christmas is less than a week away...are you ready??? We've got all the presents bought, now I've got to get busy wrapping them. Still have to get some things for the stockings, but other than that, I'm done. Yea me. Today I'm going to show you a layout I made with Digi-designs by Nicole's newest kit called Swanky Christmas. It is a kit with non-traditional colors, and it is just too cute!!!

I did a layout of Tom and Callie. We were waiting on Cole and as always they were good for one photo and naughty for the other. Their funny faces really make me smile. When I saw the naughty and nice tags I immediately thought of these photos.

Very Merry & a Freebie

I hope everyone is having a Very Merry December. For me it has been tough, we had to put Sharla in the hospital and even though it was only for one night, it was very stressful for me and her. But she is doing better and that is all that counts. Today I'm here to show you layouts I made with a fun new kit by Scraps by Andrea called Very Merry and it has a matching Very Merry Cardstock. I love this fun whimsical kit and enjoyed using it. Plus at the end will be a freebie for you.

First up is Callie from this year. She is a lucky little girl, her boss gave her an iPad for Christmas. I want one really badly and so she better hide hers. I love the sleigh in the kit and thought it looked so cute full of presents.

Next up is Cole from last Christmas with his favorite present...ok maybe not his favorite, but one that made him laugh. We get him funny boxers every year and I couldn't resist the Homer ones. He refused to model them, because he knew we would take pictures, he is getting smarter. I love the Merry & Bright word art that is part of the kit and just had to use it.

I loved the word art so much that I made it part of my freebie to you. I did the frame cluster off of the last page as my freebie. I hope you like it and can find a use for it. Winter Chills and a Freebie

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas everywhere I go...ok maybe not so much here in Texas, but there is definitely a sense of winter. Today I'm going to show you a layout I made using Digi-designs by Nicole's newest kit called Winter Chills and give you a freebie made with that kit as well.

Here in Texas we don't normally get a lot of snow, we do get ice normally once or twice a year, but 2009/2010 was very different we got snow on several occasions. It was quite beautiful, but very cold. We tried to get the dogs to go out in it to play, but they weren't liking it much. Sharla walked out into the yard and would call them, and they would run to her and then turn and run back to the porch. I love the blues in this kit, I think they are great with snow photos.

Home for the Holidays

So have you finished your Christmas shopping. I'm not done, but I have something for Callie, Cole, and Mecca, so I'm moving along. Tom wants a gift card to Home Depot, and Mom gave me a list yesterday, so I'm moving along. Do you have anything special on your wish list...I'm trying to convince my Mom to buy me an iPad...a girl can dream. Well today I am going to show you layouts I made with this month's mega collab at Stuff to Scrap called Home For The Holidays. It is just packed full of great stuff and I love the color scheme!

My first layout is Sharla and Callie, Christmas morning two years ago. It's funny how adult Callie is until Christmas morning and then she was a kid all over again. But I think we are all a little like that. I really love all the flowers in this kit.

My second layout is Cooper in a Santa hat, ok maybe it is more of an elf hat, but I think he looks very very cute. He didn't care for it much, but he tolerated it. I love the greenery in this kit, as well as all the ornaments.

A Time for Thanks/Holly Jolly and a Freebie

Ok, I've really messed up and I'm the first one to admit it. Andrea of Scraps by Andrea had a cool kit a couple of weeks ago called Holly Jolly Christmas and it was a collab with Cristin's Creations. It was free the first week and is now in the store. I should have told ya'll about it earlier, but somehow I just forgot to blog about it (my bad). She also has a new kit out today call A Time for Thanks, so I'm going to show you the layouts I did for both as well as give you a freebie from the new kit.

I'll start with my Holly Jolly layouts, the first is Tom, Mecca, Callie and Cole opening presents last Christmas. I really love the colors of this kit, they just go with everything.

Next up is Tom and Mecca's Christmas tree from last year. I think it looked very elegant and I just had to snap of couple of photos of it. I really had fun using all the flowers and ornaments in the kit.

Now for more recent photos. This one is of Sharla just as she was sitting down at the table on Thanksgiving (yes this year). I really love the papers in this kit, they range from simple to elegant, so you can do so much with them.

Next up is a layout of Aunt Jean, ok she isn't really my Aunt, but she was my babysitter when I was a kid and that's what we called her, and it stuck. She had her 82nd birthday a couple of weeks ago and her granddaughters gave her a little surprise party. It was lots of fun and I know she had a great time.

Catch Up Post 3

Ok, I suck at blogging right now. I just can't seem to make the time to do it. I would rather be scrapping. But I'm also in the process of transferring my files from one external hard drive to another, so that is taking time. And while it is working it doesn't like me accessing it. Today I'm going to show you some layouts I've made with Victoria Feemster's kits. She has created some great kits over the last month and I hope you like what I've done with them.

First up is Callie on the beach at Nags Head. She had Joe take her picture as she jumped around. I'm not sure who had more fun, him or her. Although the story I've heard is that he doesn't do the beach and hadn't been on one in over 20 years and Callie was there one day and had him on the beach. But anyone that knows Callie, knows that is par for the course, she can get you to do almost anything. The kit I used is Sweet Memories a collab from the designers at SugarHill Co.

Next up is Zoey in the backyard. She really likes sitting outside with us, and is always willing to jump up beside me...well as long as "Tinkerbell" the dog behind us isn't outside. Because then they have to talk to each other. I'm using Victoria's kit called Someday.

Now for a layout featuring my Tucker Joe. He had been out in the snow, which he didn't like at all. I used Victoria's newest kit called Snow Baby, which has both snow/winter stuff and a few baby things thrown in as well.

Ok time to move to a layout that features some of my favorite people. Sharla, Aunt Sallie, and Aunt Hazel. It is always a good time whenever we are together. I think they are standing outside of the Alamo, but I'm not for sure. The kit I used is called In My Heart.

Next is another picture of Aunt Sallie and Aunt Hazel, this one taken in October when Callie and Mom went back for a visit. The hair maybe grayer, but they are still lots of fun!!!!! The kit I used is called I Am Woman.

Callie and Watson are the feature of my next layout. She is nuts about that dog and he is a cutie. But his feet are a dead give away to the fact that he is going to be a "BIG" dog. I know I hope so, because he is her protector! The kit is Giving Thanks which is part of the Pixel Club at Gotta Pixel.

Now for something you don't see as often as I would like and that is a layout with Trey in it. He and his girlfriend, Jess, came for dinner and Sharla snapped a few photos. It is still hard for me to believe he is so grown-up, he should be about 12!!!! The kit I used is Fall In Love.

The last one for today is another layout where I used my Tucker Joe. I've called him my sweet pea since he was a puppy. He is a little shaggy, but I love when he gets shaggy. The kit I used is called Fresh Breath of Air.

Catch Up Post 2

I had great plans of posting on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, but some how it just didn't come together like I wanted. So now my goal is try and post at least once more this weekend. I've got tons of layouts to show ya'll.

Ok I'm going to mix it up today and show you things from different places. The first is a layout I did for Designs by Sweet Mesquite's kit called Shades of Autumn. It is a beautiful kit with rich fall colors. The photo is Sharla kissing Cooper. I love this photo of the two of them.

Next is another layout I did for Beth at Designs by Sweet Mesquite, the kit is a collab by her and Berry Sweet Designs and is called Shades of Autumn. When I saw it I immediately thought of Zoey, so I used a photo of her. She had been playing in the dirt, and her face is so dirty. It just fit the kit!!!

Now I'm going to show you a layout I made for the first week of the Battle of the Creative Teams at Digiscrap Addicts. I was on the team for Scrappin' Daisies. This week they gave us a recipe that used a ton of items, 10 hearts, 9 flowers, 8 buttons, so on and so on. We all used her kit called Betty Days and it was hard, but I liked the results. The photos are Tom, Mecca, Callie and Cole from last Thanksgiving.

Next is my week 4 entry and this was the hardest layout I've done in a long time. The challenge was to do a list of 10 things, so I did things I was grateful for. But that wasn't the hard part, we had to use product from 10 different kits. I rarely use more than one kit at a time, so it was really tough for me.

Now for a layout I double dipped (hehehe). I used it for a font challenge at PDP and a QP exchange at STS. I really love this kit, it is call Plum Perfect and the colors are just my style. The photos are Zoey taken on the back porch.

Next is a layout I made using a kit by Farah's Designer Scrap's kit called Carefree. The photo is Callie and Watson, taken in our backyard. We saw Watson this weekend and Callie can still hold him but it won't be long. I love this kit, because of the color combination and the really cool elements. They can make just about any photo look elegant.

I used frames by BySine and Gramma's Attic by the Plum Designers for this inspiration challenge. The ad was a cool mix of framed photos of different shapes and sizes. I used photos of all our babies, Tucker, Cooper, Zoey, Jake and Watson (also known as "W").

Next is a paper to digi challenge. I really loved all the flowers used in the paper version, so I found a kit that had lots of flowers. The kit is Girly Girl by Mandy Made, and I really love the colors. The photo is Ms. Callie, taken on her front porch and one taken at the hospital when she was born. Boy she has grown up, and it happened way too fast.

Now for a font challenge. I used a photo of Callie and two of her friends on the 4th of July several years ago. They were about 11 or 12, but they thought they were so grown-up. I love fonts so I try to do as many of those challenges as I can.

Ok the last one for now. This layout was done for a Scrap Mash challenge, they give you things like if your birthday month is 7 you must use pink. On this one I had to use pink, dots, something about vacation, two photos and rick rack. I decided to do one of what would make up a perfect vacation for me. And that would be a nice beach and lots of books to read on my nook.
