Springtime Celebrations - Mega Collab

Have you been busy celebrating Spring, if so then I have the perfect kit for you to use to scrap those photos. It is called Springtime Celebrations - Mega Collab and it by the designers at Stuff to Scrap. It is packed with 98 papers, 141 elements and 2 full alphas all in the bright colors of Spring.

My first layout is of some irises I photographed a few weeks ago. I love both the yellow ones and the pink ones, and when I found both in the same place, I just had to snap lots of pictures. The bright colors in the kit really help the photos pop, and the cute word art is part of the kit too.

My second layout has Callie and Cole after an Easter egg hunt, a few years ago. Not only does the kit have lots of cute flowers, it has lots of Easter eggs, bunnies and other fun springtime elements.

So make sure you head over to Stuff to Scrap and pick up Springtime Celebrations - Mega Collab soon.

Adorably Tough

I know you think I'm talking about Callie, with a title like Adorably Tough, but I'm not. It is a new kit by Scrappin' Daisies Designs. This kit can be used for your not so girly girls, as well as the girly girls. It is filled with 25 papers and over 40 total elements, including 2 complete alphas, and the colors rock!

My first layout is Angela, and she is actually sitting on Samuel and Tina, but I chopped them out of the picture. I love the way she is smiling, it just makes me smile. I really like the combination of bright pink with teal and black.

My second layout is about my Adorably Tough Tucker Joe. He looks grumpy in the photo, but I that is normal when the camera comes out (he doesn't like the flash). I do love the folded ribbon element in this kit, but I also like that I can do both girl and boy layouts with it.

Make sure you head over to Brownie Scraps and pick up Adorably Tough soon. That is it for today, be sure to check back because Saturday is NSD - National Scrapbook Day and lots of things will be going on at different stores and blogs including here. I'm going to participate in my first blog train.

Spring Thingies & A Freebie

Happy Tuesday all, today I'm going to show you a mini kit by Scraps By Andrea called Spring Thingies. It is not a big kit, but it is very cute. The kit includes 5 solid cardstocks, 8 patterned papers, and 30 elements, in perfect colors to scrap your spring photos.

Since it is a mini kit, I've only done one layout with it so far, but I really love how the colors worked with my photo. Sharla and I have gone after work on our "photo hunts" and we found this great field of Indian Paint Brushes and Bluebonnets. I love the little caterpillar element.

I've turned the page into a quick page for you as well. The image is linked so you should be able to click and download. Feel free to leave love.

So make sure you head over to Stuff to Scrap and pick up Spring Thingies soon, in fact, go this week because Andrea is having a sale (see below, image is linked).

I'll be back tomorrow with more.

Ok, I'm not talking about the lighting in the room, I'm talking about a new kit by Digi Designs by Nicole called Ambience. This kit is so versatile as well as beautiful and can be used for just about any picture. Whether scrappy family moments, boys or girls, you can't go wrong with this great kit.

My first layout is the newlyweds Tina and Samuel...but this is one of their engagement photos. We got rained out for our first couple of location choices, but rolled with the flow, and just decided to do them in my office. The only problem was the florescent lights, but we got some good ones. I really like the silver alpha that is part of this kit and the cute hanging hearts. And congrats to Tina and Samuel who tied the knot on Saturday.

My second layout is Angela, she stole Samuel's hat and just had pose with it. She was having fun wearing it and it showed on her face. I also used Nicole's Template Temptation Vol 7 for this layout. If you've not checked out her templates, you really should. They make scrapping go so fast and easy and you still get great layouts.

So make sure you head over to Stuff to Scrap and pick up Ambience and Template Temptation Vol 7 soon.

Baby Of Mine and A Freebie

Happy Tuesday all. Today I get to show you a new collab by Digi Designs by Nicole and Growing Pains Scrapped and it is called Baby Of Mine. When I saw the kit I thought it looked like a very sophisticated baby kit. It has blues and pinks, but not the typical pastel colors they are much richer colors. I think the kit may have those extra special touches because both designers are expecting.

I made two layouts, the first is Cole as a baby. He had the cutest chubby cheeks and Buddha belly. I love the cute little bear element, pin element but most of all I love the shade of blue they used.

My second layout is Miss Callie. It is the photo the hospital took of her the day she came home. It seems like just yesterday she was that small, but alas it was 22 years ago. Again I love the shade of pink they chose, and the green they used is so perfect too.

I also created a quick page...wait I actually created two. I couldn't decide on blue or pink, so I've included both. The image is linked, so just click and download and you'll get both quick pages in the zip file.

And make sure you head over to Stuff to Scrap and pick up Baby Of Mine this week. The kit is the same if you purchase through either designer's store. More later.....

Happy Monsters & Freebie

Good Monday Morning to everyone, I hope you had a wonderful weekend. Today I'm going to show you a new kit by Scraps by Andrea called Happy Monsters and it is a bright and fun kit that's perfect for scrapping your 'little monster'! There are 18 papers, 54 elements, and an uppercase alpha. The colors are cheerful and elements are great, I love all the little monsters, there are tons of them.

I've done two layouts, the first is my guard dog, Cooper. He is very intent on warning me whenever there is a monster close, or person or car or bird or breeze or anything that makes a sound. I think the alpha in the kit is too cute, it looks almost like it was molded out of play doh.

My second layout is of Callie and Cole. I was trying to get a couple of photos of them together to put in a frame for Mecca for Christmas, but they weren't cooperating with me. But they were having fun, and that is what was important. But it was fun to use the little monster elements on the page.

And now you get a freebie. I chose the first layout to convert into a quick page for you. The image is linked, so simply click on it and download.

Make sure you head over to Stuff to Scrap and pick up Happy Monsters this week and also don't forget to head over to Andrea's Blog because she has a freebie there as well as her other CT members.

Happy Go Lucky And Love Word Art Pack

Hi everyone, it has been a busy week, and I'm sorry I've not blogged more, but just been swamped. I'm here today to show you two kits by one of the newer designers at Stuff to Scrap, Meagan's Creations. I love both the kit, it is called Happy Go Lucky as well as Love Word Art Pack.

My first layout is of Tom and Mecca taken at a 4th of July picnic in 2002. It is so hard to believe that was almost eight years ago. They are a cute couple. I love the word art and when I saw it, I knew who I wanted to use it with.

Since I didn't want to do both layouts with Tom and Mecca, I decided to use Callie and Honey for the second one. It may not be what the word art was intended to portray, but I think it works perfectly.

I've just touched a little bit of what is available in the kit and the word art, so you should head over to Stuff to Scrap and pick up Happy Go Lucky and Love Word Art Pack soon. I'm sure you'll love it.

Stop, Drop and Roll

No the building isn't on fire, but you might think so when you see the layouts I've made with Scappin' Daisies Designs' new kit called Stop, Drop and Roll. It is all things firefighter, and perfect to scrap those trips to the fire station, or pictures of your little fireman or a firefighter lover. It is packed full with 25 Papers, 30+ Unique Elements including 2 complete alphas.

Going through my photos, I didn't come across many fireman photos, but just so happens Sharla went with Cole somewhere the other night and pass a really cool old fire truck. So she and I went back and got some photos of it for my first layout. It was in great shape, except for the pollen covering it, but it is spring time in Texas. I really loved the elements in this kit, they are just too cute.

My second layout is called "Fire Dog" and it is a photo of Tucker...wait he is not a fire dog, but he could be...well maybe not, but he would love to ride on the truck. Because he loves to ride anywhere, anytime. He prefers if we let him hang his head out the window. I couldn't resist the hydrant element next to his picture, although he really could care less about them.

You need to head over to Brownie Scraps this week and pick up Stop, Drop and Roll this week. It is on sale for 35% off through Sunday. And I'll be back later in the week with more.

Tool Time & A Speed Scrap

Hi everyone, I hope you had a wonderful week, and that your Saturday...oops Monday is going well. I'm here today to show you a new kit by Digi Designs by Nicole called Tool Time and it a great kit to scrap those new home being built, home repairs, or even your children hard at work or play photos. The colors are great and the elements are realistic.

My first layout is Sharla painting her room at the new house, ok so maybe she didn't' paint it, we hired a couple of young men to do it, but she said this is the way she likes to paint. I love the paint brush element, looks like it came right out of the photo.

My second layout is Cole visiting the house with us as it was being built. I think we visited every day and he and Callie came as much as possible. I think he enjoyed watching it going from a blank piece of land to a I think he was very excited about Papa living closer to him.

So make sure you head over to Stuff to Scrap and pick up Tool Time soon. And while you are there, you might want to do a speed scrap and there just happens to be one today. See the flier below for the time and participation prize (it is really cool).

I'll be back later in the week with more.

Painted Eggs

I have to admit, we were never big into painting eggs, we would rather devil them (hehehe). But I did always enjoy hiding the eggs for the hunt. Love the plastic eggs, because if one wasn't found, it didn't turn stinky. Today I'm going to show you some layouts with a kit from Just So Scrappy called Painted Eggs that is super cute. It is pack with fun stuff and I really love the bunnies.

My first layout is Cole hunting eggs a few years ago...ok maybe a few more than a few. I think he was about three here. He was picking them up fast and furiously. And he had as much fun finding them as eating what was inside. The bunny I used is one of about ten in the kit...they are all so cute.

My next layout is Sharla, Callie and Cole, and yes Sharla is wearing bunny ears...hehehe. I love photos like this, she didn't care if she looked silly, she was doing it to make the kids laugh and they did. What can I say we are all about laughing in my family.

So head over to Stuff to Scrap and pick up Painted Eggs to scrap all of your wonderful Easter photos.

American Honey

Does a theme ever seem to run through your life, well for me the last couple of weeks it has been American Honey. First I did a song lyric challenge for that song and now Modern June Creations has introduced a new kit called American Honey. I don't know if the song inspired the kit, but the kit is just beautiful. You can get it at Ginger Scraps or DSM and you should really get this kit.

My first layout I used one of her templates from the pack All Curled Up and it is available in both places as well. And the photos are Mom and Aunt Jean taken when they went to North Carolina in '07. I love the flowers in this kit and the template was a perfect way to use them.

My second layout is Sharla and Cooper at Thanksgiving. He was tired and restless since we were in a different house, so she picked him up to cuddle. I'm not sure who was happier, her or him. He just wanted to relax and he was able to do that when she held him. I love the colors in this kit, yellow, pinks, blues, and tans and they just go so well together.

So make sure you head over to DSM or Ginger Scraps and pick up American Honey and if you've not heard the song, you can find it on CMT's web site, it is really quite nice.

Backyard Adventure Freebie

Good day all, I hope everyone had a wonderful Monday. I know for most of the world Mondays are a bad thing, but for me they are my "Saturdays". That means I got to sleep until 8:00 am, and it felt great. I didn't get too much done otherwise, a vet appointment for Cooper and two different doctor appointments for Mom, meant a lot of time driving and sitting in the car. But luckily for ya'll I did my quick page before, so it is all ready for you. Just click on the preview and download it. And then make sure you head over to Stuff to Scrap and pickup Backyard Adventures.

I have more new kits to show you later this week, so make sure you come back tomorrow to see what is next.

Mr. Fix It and A Freebie

Ok for those that know me, know that with a title like Mr. Fix It I'm not talking about myself. No it is a new kit by Scrap by Andrea. This fun boyish kit has 23 papers, 67 elements, and an uppercase alpha. Among the elements are bookplates, buttons, flairs, frames, ribbons, rickrack, stitches, assorted tools, and much more! And it is so much fun to use.

My first layout is Cole...well actually both are Cole layouts today. This one layout shows off Cole's new pride and joy, his truck, but it also show his first car (hehehe). I love the colors in this kit they are just perfect for boy layouts.

My second layout is Cole and Papa. To be honest I'm not sure what Cole was doing, other than "helping" Papa. Papa loved his little buddy and let him help whenever possible. Cole was always happy to help. I love all the tool elements in this kit, they are just so much fun.

And lastly today you get a freebie. I've converted the first layout into a quick page for you. Just click on the preview and download. I would love to hear any comments on it.

Be sure to head over to Stuff to Scrap and pick up Mr. Fix It today and then come back tomorrow because I have more things to show you.

Backyard Adventures

Happy Easter everyone, I hope the Easter Bunny was good to each of you, and even more important I hope you have had a wonderful Resurrection Day. Today I'm here to show you a new kit that is a collaboration by Digi Designs by Nicole and Scrap N Pieces. Backyard Adventures is perfect for all those outdoor adventures with your children. Whether on the playground or in the backyard this kit is full of fun embellishments and papers. I love this kit because it has croquet pieces and they are super cute.

My first layout is Callie playing croquet on a trip back to North Carolina. I don't think she had played before, but she enjoyed it. I think because everyone else was picking on Papa, and she got to join in picking on him. And like just about any game played by my family, you play to win!!!

My second layout is Cole riding his two wheeler. Daddy found a very little bike at the local charity shop and bought it for practically nothing and added training wheels to it. So Cole learned to ride it instead of a tricycle, he had a tricycle, but he loved riding his "two wheeler"

Be sure to head over to Stuff to Scrap and pick up Backyard Adventures and come on Tuesday for a Quick Page freebie. I'll be back tomorrow with more stuff.

Happy Saturday All

I hope everyone is having a beautiful and productive so far I've worked on cleaning my desk...yes I know that is a never ending battle for me. I've boxed up a group of iPaqs to take to try and be repaired. I've taken some pictures of the wonderful spring irises and I've had a is good. Well today I'm going to show you some more layouts I've done for one thing or another and then let you know some of the things happening at Stuff to Scrap.

My first layout I did for a speed scrap and it features Mr. Cole with his first truck. Yes you read that correctly, he has a truck, it so hard to believe. He is quite proud of it, and it is a sharp truck, a 1995 Silverado. He was even willing to pose next to it.

Next up are a couple of layouts I did for Modern June Creations, but I can't find where I blogged about them anywhere, so now must be their time. First up is Callie and Honey. I used one of her templates for the template challenge at Digi Scrapbook Mania, her October Haze kit and Seeing Spots Alpha. I love these photos of Callie and Honey, you can see how well they are bonding.

Next is Sharla and the babies in the snow. The babies were refusing to go out in to it, so Sharla walked out into the yard, and the would run to her and then turn and high tail it back to the porch. I'm using another of her templates, the kit Sugar Plums and Seeing Spots again.

Next up is a layout I did for Scrapbooks Gone Digital. The name of the kit is Girly Monkey and who else could I think about but Miss Sharla. The kit was mainly browns and pinks with touches of green and turquoise. So I pulled an older picture of Sharla...ok a really old picture of her. She was Daddy's Monkey all of her life, so I knew I was going to have to use that word art, although I did modify it just a little, it said "My 3 Little Monkeys", but not when I was done.

Then I decided to do an older picture of Callie with the same kit. Her glasses were more red, but I tinted them a little to fit the kit. She has had a thing about sunglasses forever.

My last layout I used pieces from all the different Build a Kits for April from Stuff to Scrap. They all have the same color palette, but several different themes, so it was a challenge to get something from each of them, but I think I did it. The picture is of Tucker from last year in the blue bonnets, hopefully we'll have some new ones soon...I saw some blue bonnets this morning...yeah spring.

That is it for layouts, but let me tell you about some of the stuff going on at Stuff to Scrap. There is a sale this weekend, 30% off, they are also giving away a collection of brag book quick pages if you spend $10 in the store and last but not least they are having a hybrid CT call. I'm putting up fliers below, so you can get all the details, and they are linked to the store. I hope ya'll have a wonderful Easter...I'm up early for the 8:30 service. Later....

Sweet Treats

Easter is this weekend, but when I talk about Sweet Treats I'm not talking about what the Easter Bunny is going to bring me. Although I'm sure he'll bring me good stuff. I'm talking about a wonderful kit by Scrappin' Daisies Design that is just so sweet (yeah I know, pushing the play on words). But it is a great kit with spring colors, and such fun elements.

My first layout is Callie at Thanksgiving eating mac and cheese. I know most people wouldn't consider that a sweet treat, but for Callie, she would eat it over most sweets any day. I love the picture with her cheeks puffed out, you would think she was a chipmunk. The colors in the kit are spring like without being overly pastel and work great for so many things.

My second layout is Mr. Cole Garrett on his first birthday. Ok Sharla I said first birthday, ignore the date on the layout. I was supposed to go back and fix it, and I will but I don't have the original with me now, so it is going as is. I love this picture of him, he was really having a good time with the icing on his cake.

You need to hurry over to Brownie Scraps and pick up Sweet Treats while it is on sale, you will be able to create lots of great layouts with it. If all goes well, I'll be back later this week with more layouts, but if not I hope each and everyone of you has a wonderful Easter.
